The 15 or 30 minute workouts were led by motivating virtual instructors. Classes included Hot Stretch, Hot Barre, Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Cycle, and more. The structured classes made it easy to get in an efficient workout. I haven't sweated so much in a long time! In the back, there was a training area called the FX zone equipped with dumbbells, suspension straps, kettlebells, etc. As for the fine print, memberships are starting at $59/month. I am unsure about the onboarding fee. But, you must buy their branded equipment to participate such as the HOTWORX Mat and Towel. You must download the HOTWORX Burn Off app to schedule workouts. And, guests are only permitted during staff hours. Additionally, the cancellation policy requires a 60-day notice or a $99 fee for immediate termination. I'd recommend giving HOTWORX a try and see if it's a good fit for you, but as for me, the pricing turned me away.

Fuse45 is criminal in their business scheme - taking advantage of clients in the interest of earning an extra dollar. As an unlimited member you are charged $10 for a missed class on top of the $140 you have already paid for a month's worth of sessions. There was actually a morning where I was made to feel "lucky" for not having been charged the $10 for electing not to drive during a snow storm which caused local schools and businesses to close. Furthermore, you WILL be charged TEN days before the month begins with no means of skipping, pausing, or being respected as a person with conflicts on occasion - regardless of whether or not you sign a contract, so I strongly discourage you to provide credit card information as they seemingly do what they choose with it. I authorized a trial month at Fuse45, and when charged for the following month immediately contacted them and merely requested to put the month on hold as I was traveling and could not use the service. When the response was "no, we can't do that, it's against our policy" I immediately contacted my credit card company as 1) I did not authorize the charge and 2) could not be able to make the $140 worth it. At this point I have asked that all subsequent months be canceled as I will not support a business that does not support its clients and their individual needs. It is manipulative and in poor taste to charge customers for services when they have 1) communicated they do not want said service and 2) do not utilize the service.

A new day brings a new set of workouts and class format. Different instructors also help to spice things up! Jerilyn, Joe, Alison - I'm looking at you guys! All of the instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and really push you to do more. I love the formats of the classes. Each set is 45 seconds which is great for me because I get bored easily. It's helped me to realize that I can do anything for 45 seconds, no matter how hard it is. Since I have been attending classes regularly, I've been feeling much stronger, had more energy, and even decreased pain with a longtime shoulder injury. Not to mention, dropping 10 lbs (along with dietary changes). Even though the workouts are exhausting and take everything out of me, Fuse45 really has become my happy place. To be fair, I'm leaving two stars only because of Arsharel and Nichol -- they are truly amazing instructors who deserve to be teaching at an original Lagree studio, not in this environment. Unfortunately, the trust I once had in this studio was broken. After many of us paid upfront for a full year membership, the owner, Judy, suddenly shifted direction: hiring inexperienced, non-certified trainers, opening a new location, and purchasing copycat machines instead of authentic Lagree equipment. Yes, you read that right -- fake Lagree machines, which are not only unsafe but also disrespectful to long-time clients who believed in the original method and trusted her leadership. The studio also rebranded from "Lagree" to "Modern Pilates," which might be fine for newcomers, but as an original client, I signed up and invested in authentic Lagree training -- not this. There's nothing wrong with Pilates in general, but the issue is the bait-and-switch: we trusted we were paying for true Lagree, with certified trainers and proper equipment. As someone who has always supported and respected my studios, I had no choice but to cancel my membership. It's disappointing to see a place I once believed in lose its integrity. All the scheduled workouts are conducted in a group environment so you'll be doing what everyone else it. Since leaving active duty, I've missed working out in a group. This has been a perfect resolution and I've made many friends a long the way. If you ever questioned checking out CrossFit, my recommendation is to stop on by and see what you've been missing out on. I came across Retrofit Studio reviews here on Yelp, sort of accidentally. I liked what I read from the reviews & their website. I liked the idea of a private studio too. I called Brad & set up a consultation. There is no doubt that Brad loves what he does & wants every client to be successful. He spent a lot of time listening & talking to me about realistic goals, nutrition, and what to expect. He decided to set me up with Mark, one of his trainers. So far, I have had 8 training sessions with Mark. When Brad said he was a good fit for me, he was right! My sessions are 30 minutes, 2 times a week. By the time I leave, I am a sweaty mess! Mark challenges me, makes sure I have good form, and always encouraging. If I don't do it right, I have to do it again. Every session varies to work different muscle groups, especially the areas that are difficult to target. As hard as he makes me work, I'm never too sore to exercise in between our sessions. That is important to me because I need to do my part outside of our sessions. Mark checks with me regarding my diet and what I'm doing to reach my weight loss goals between our sessions. I always have fun training with Mark even when it's really difficult. The studio itself is great. It's very clean, doesn't smell funky like a lot of gyms (ha!), and a great variety of training techniques & equipment. There are a few cardio machines for client use before or after a session. Every trainer is always encouraging clients, whether it's their client or not. What about results? I started to feel stronger right away and continue to feel that way. I'm steadily losing weight & seeing the jiggle disappear! My muffin top is shrinking! I asked my husband if he noticed any changes. The poor guy looked at me with slight fear of answering the wrong way. ha! I wanted an honest answer. I don't expect fast results, but I am curious if the changes I see are noticeable to others. He said that he has seen a big change. He said I have been a lot happier since I started training with Mark. I wasn't expecting that answer & it made me realize I haven't felt that way about getting in shape (or trying to) in a long time. It sort of made me all verklempt!
