They also offered no warranty on their work to replace the wire down to the well. The new wiring was almost 2k and they offered no warranty for the work. When I researched the cost of the wire quoted on line, we were most definitely overcharged 2-3x. I would not call again.

Their refusal to test the water that day (which I have documented and will post here if they push back on this review) was inexcusable. Broke all trust and we've moved on to another company.

When the plumber came he said Moen is the worst brand and then told us we bought the wrong kind, we need cordless. When my fiancé tells him that we were told by the woman he spoke to when he made the appointment we didn't need a specific garbage disposal, he said we can't listen to the office because "they are just two women who don't know what they're talking about".... Yikes! The plumber was impatient with us for buying the wrong garbage disposal, and said he couldn't do anything and wouldn't be able to come back for days. I walked out of the room and my fiancé stayed with him asking what we should do - we just need to get a new garbage disposal that doesn't have a cord. So we call the office when the plumber leaves to see when we can get another appointment and the woman says tomorrow. Great. Then we get a call back and the woman says the plumber won't be returning to our home because we did not take his advice and he's an expert of 25 years and she hung up on us. Steer clear of these guys.

"We have to take all the floorboards up and replace the pipes with new ones." I protested his price but he insisted. I figured since he's been a plumber 50 years he knows more than me. Truth is He looked at that leak and new instantly it'd be a simple fix. His worker left and came back from Home Depot then cut off the 3 valves and soldered on new ones. Thats about an hour total. HE NEVER TOUCHED THE FLOORBOARDS. The price remained $550. He stated "I said I MIGHT have to go in the floorboards. You still owe $550." What?! The job should not have cost $550! I was cheated. He also tried to get me to fix the clogged Shower drain...using the same embellishment scare tactics. Said it would cost $2300!! I got a new plumber to do it for $300 the next day. It was a very simple fix. He cut the floor open and replaced the clogged "Trap". It took a combined 30 minutes. After my original review Joe put my name, profession and ADDRESS in his response which was deleted by Yelp after I flagged it. Dirty. Then he sent me a message calling me a "Fat Overweight Slob". This time I…read moreneeded a toilet fill valve replaced, a hot water faucet repaired, and possible insertion of a bidet wand on one toilet. I had the fill valve purchased new from Home Depot as I thought it would save me money to have my own new part. I also had the bidet wand. As is typical for some companies today there was a charge to come out--not to be applied towards my bill. The young man came in to see what the work was and then out to the truck to call the office on pricing. I told him/showed him, the fill valve I had purchased. He told me they will not use customer provided parts. I asked him to ask the office again about this policy , he did, and nothing changed. His pricing for these 3 jobs was over $900. I told him I wanted parts and labor to be itemized. Answer was 'we don't do that', 'we have flat fee pricing'. Between the cost and their refusal to use the new part I bought, I told him to only handle the fill valve part of the job however I insisted on an invoice with parts and labor itemized. Again, they refused to do so. I called the office to speak to the service manager, and he again refused to comply with my request, again repeated the flat fee pricing. In the end I got no-where. I asked to see the box the new fill valve came in--no surprise--same company part as what I had purchased. Cost for the 11 minutes max it took him to replace the part? $373.12 to include the $79. arrival charge. Did not get an itemized bill. What are they hiding? Knowing cost of parts and cost of labor is a routine and reasonable request of a customer, and many companies automatically provide this information without being asked. Addendum: I had the other 2 parts of the initial job completed by another company for $265.00 and automatically received an itemized bill. Note that even combining the two companies charges, the total is not close to exceeding $900 which Hirschberg quoted when they job costed initially.
