I love this store. I began coming about a year and a half…read moreago, and my visits quickly became a bright spot in my week. The staff are friendly, kind, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the flowers offered are incredible, thoughtfully sourced, and difficult to find elsewhere. You can order professional arrangements or make your own bouquet out of the flowers sold by the stem. I've been doing the latter, and it's a regular source of joy and creativity for me, and it's absolutely helped with the winter doldrums that often come with being a New Englander. If you need a hostess gift for a party or holiday, there are plenty of options at Cymbidium, ranging from artful seasonal bulb terrariums to tea, macarons, and homemade candles. They also always have lots of user-friendly houseplants to choose from. I've had really good luck with the plants I've bought, including some gorgeous orchids. It may sound corny, but I like knowing that I'm supporting a small business owned and operated by wonderful people, as small brick & mortars that help give a town character are becoming fewer and farther between. I'd rather spend a little bit more for something truly unique and lovely than grab a quick, nondescript bunch of flowers at a grocery store chain. Cymbidium is truly the best, and I highly recommend it!

The shop itself is beautiful, with a great selection of gifts, but their florals are truly the standout--every arrangement is stunning. I've been going here for over 10 years for special occasions (and sometimes just because), and they never disappoint. Such a special spot in the Seacoast community.

The quality was perfect and the value was fair. When I placed my order, Andrea was very friendly and helpful in helping me select a modest package ideal for the occasion. Highly recommend!

I'm really picky about flowers…read more I know what I like but beyond orchids, peonies, roses, I don't have the names of flowers on the tip of my tongue. ("Do you have those cool, kelly green flowers that look like space flowers, they're shaped like buttons?" Yeah, my "technical language" has flummoxed one or two florists.) So when I called Exeter Flower Shop, they carefully listened to my specific requests ("A tight arrangement, in a glass cube, oh are peonies in season?") and they kindly filled in the many blanks to produce a gorgeous arrangement. I'd ordered flowers for a friend's New Year party, can't roll up empty handed, and she was ecstatic. These flowers were not only lovely but also fresh: The florist mentioned she'd see what flowers looked best when she went to the market in the morning (on New Year's Eve day!) For beautiful flowers, bookmark this spot and shop here.

I…read morewas looking at some light-up Angel ornaments hanging from a tree when one dropped to the floor and shattered. There was an employee who looked over at me in disgust and seemed quite appalled that one of the (thousands of) glass ornaments was broken by a customer. I apologized and helped clean it up, meanwhile the employee (dark, short hair) never said a word to me. She carried the ornament over to the counter. I made my way over to the counter and the broken ornament was sitting there. It was obvious there was a discussion about it. I purchased 2 of the ornaments I had been looking at before that one broke and noticed I was charged half price for the broken ornament. When I asked why, the clerk, who I believe was a manager, said that it was store policy. However, nowhere in the store did I see that noted. There was no signage that made me aware I would be charged if I broke anything. I was really upset about this. It was clearly not intentional that the ornament fell to the floor and broke. You would have thought I committed a crime by the way the employee looked at me and the way the manager did not seem to care that I was upset. I had intended to come back the next day to get my Christmas tree and a wreath, but decided to give the former Rolling Green, Gardener's Supply, my business. So, for charging me the $5.50 and treating me so poorly, Churchill's lost out on a larger sale. And Gardener's Supply valued my business which is more than I can say for Churchill's.
