The counter staff and an assistant manager were both very helpful and customer service oriented. I anticipated flack about closing my account which I did not receive. In fact there was no need for me to explain my reason(s). This small town branch and its employees were great. As a side note, there is no negative feelings about me closing the account. I am just moving all accounts to my central credit union. I have had great experiences with Wells Fargo and should I go back to a non-credit union institution I would go back to Wells Fargo.

I had accounts with Wells Fargo for many years till my wife and I experienced terrible customer service from this Galt Branch in 2022 and we closed our premier accounts. Today I went in to cash a check from the company I consult for. The company check is drawn on Wells Fargo and I have previously cashed checks at this branch from this company same account, and other branches drawn on this account. (With no problems). You simply provide two forms of identification and pay their fee for cashing the check since you do not have an account with them. Lucy said she was required to contact the person who signed this check before she could cash it. Since it is Saturday no one answered and she refused to cash the check drawn on Wells Fargo. Then she said this is company policy even though I cashed a check there two weeks ago with no phone call verification no problems. I will be reaching out corporate for a response. Update another branch just cashed the checks with no issues. Please see photo for proof. What's up with in my opinion all the hate and terrible customer service Lucy?

I opened a checking account along with two saving accounts for my kids. My kids can deposit funds in to their account making them feel like little adults.
