DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. Worst car-buying experience I've ever had. I bought a truck from them and had to bring it back FOUR TIMES for problems. The transmission makes a loud bang when downshifting. When I brought it back, they had the nerve to tell me nothing was wrong and to keep driving it until the noise gets louder because they "couldn't hear it." Absolutely ridiculous. Shockingly, the problem is still not fixed and the noise is still there. The owner told me, "I'm not trying to screw anyone--if you ever have a problem, bring it back and we'll take care of it." That turned out to be a lie. Less than a week later, the throttle position sensor failed, and suddenly they wanted $396 to fix it because it was ONE WEEK past their 30-day warranty. I was forced to buy the part myself and installed it for under $100. They dodge responsibility, downplay serious mechanical issues, and hide behind technicalities instead of standing behind what they sell. This place does not care about customers. I recently bought a vehicle from F and F and they were wonderful. I brought it in within 30 days of buying it and they replaced my muffler at no cost to me. I brought it back after the 30 days was up for another reason and my vehicle was fixed the same day. They also gave me a loaner car 2 times that was decent. Kathy is a very knowledgeable and kind person, as is all of their staff. Searching for a vehicle and reputable dealer is a daunting task. I first brought my 2004 A6 down to have an axle replaced. I had purchased the part myself but needed help getting it in. Pete took care of my axle and replacing the messed up bearing. He was upfront about any additional costs and made sure I understood exactly why he was doing certain things. Later, we brought my boyfriends 2000 A6 down for a coolant leak. A hose had busted that we couldn't reach. Again, Pete made sure to keep us in the loop so we knew exactly what was being done and why. I brought my A6 back down today for a suspension rattle. Pete took it out, called to let me know what was wrong (front right lower control arm). He was upfront as usual and had the job done quickly. Pete and everyone at F&F is awesome! I went here on the recommendation of a friend. They replaced a brand new O2 Sensor with another O2Sensor and then when I asked for the part back, Lianna told me she didn't have it. And the mechanic (her boyfriend, Mike) was coincidentally in the hospital for the last 3 days. This morning I called the owner Frank who argued with me after I brought my car to the dealer yesterday. The dealer told me I need an Oil Cooler, something that cools the Oil by having the Anti Freeze do it. The Anti Freeze is dripping onto the O2Sensor Wiring Harness that is causing the engine light to go on. Frank (the owner) says Cadillac doesn't know what there talking about and I should leave my car there with them for them to find the problem. But they don't know what the problem is. They want me to leave it for hours @ 75 bucks an hour for them to track it down. Caddy charged me a 100 bucks and came back in 20 mins and told me the problem. If I was you, I would't trust these people, I don't care how many light bulbs they changed right. Changing a light bulbs is much different that changing anything else. They yell at you and treat you like dirt and want you to spend money there. Not Me. I will spend mine at the dealer, thank you read more

The mechanics here are incompetent so if you want a reputable mechanic do not bring it here. You pay for the type of service you get let me tell you....I brought my 08 Jeep here against my will because it was under warranty and the dealer uses this mechanic because they're cheap. They were instructed to fix my parking brake, brakes that squeak when I stop, the speedometer that is 10mph off, exhaust leak, and gas tank related issues so the truck would pass on inspection. They had my car for days and instructed me it was fixed and to pick up --- nothing was fixed , they put a new muffler on that I really didn't need but none of the other problems were fixed....do they not test drive the car after they make changes? Had to bring it back a week later where they had it for 7 days- (returned it wth so much fast food trash in it) but everything besides the speedometer got fixed (had to bring it to Jeep to get this fixed) and they said my squeaky brakes were related to the parking brake and that my brakes and rotors are fine(never told me I had bad rear pads and rotors so now 2 months later my brakes still squeak. I also told them to balance my tires which they never did - and FAILED to communicate they were not instructed to do so by my dealer but I said I'd pay so they still should have done it... regardless my car still shakes around 60....Also never use their loaner car because you will not feel safe in it (2002 Ford Taurus wagon w no ac or radio and it has 210k miles and the engine light on) As to her comment.... I WAS given that wagon so if it was not theirs then that's even more sketchy. It had mass plates so maybe it was someone's car but it was still a piece of crap and as a courtesy car it should be updated. It is unprofessional to give me a car w no AC in the hot August month while I have a long commute to work!!! Also it is not in better condition than my Jeep...I'll tell ya that. I've had this car checked over many times since I left here because I didn't feel comfortable with their service and it's been fine since i brought it to Jeep. Communication between F&F and the dealer and to me was just terrible ---as you can see. They never called to tell me how long things were going to take or anything like that, which even if they told my dealer - it should have gotten back to me as the owner... and also it took them months to tell me that things were not approved by the dealer and she told me in a comment to my bad review on yelp... so how was I supposed to know and reacting this way to one bad review? again what's that have to show... And yes maybe a majority of this was the dealers fault but how the hell can you be a good mechanic if you say my car is OK to go yet none of the problems are fixed ... I will NEVER go anywhere near this place or the dealer again. read more

I own a 2011 VW Jetta. I went to the local VW dealer in Fall River. 98 bucks for them to tell me I needed a combi valve (vague term for secondary air pump). The dealer quote was 600+ for the part and labor. I called Pete from F&F he located the part I needed on partsgeek.com for 151. He had me order it and he'd do the install. I brought the part and rear brake pads for them to install. I get a call 2 hours later that it would be a waste for me to do the brakes, so they cleaned out the drums and adjusted them for me. They charged me $165 for the job! Wow! They are honest! I've driven 300+ miles, no check engine light! Thanks to Pete and the guys at F&F! They have my business!!!! read more

I first went to F & F for my fathers tail light was out. The tech repaired it quickly and most pleasantly. I then returned w/my vehicle because it was making a strange noise. Turned out to be a simple fix (for them) and they also checked my brakes per my request - all free of charge. As a single woman, and an auto idiot, I have to trust my mechanic.
