Our third visit to this newly refurbished restaurant in the ancient town of Cahors.
The restaurant is opposite the river Lot and has a beautiful dining terrace in a walled garden for summer dining.
The lunch menu is good value at 19 Euros for three courses and the menu changes every day with a choice of three starters, 5 main courses and 3 desserts. The proprietor is welcoming and the service very attentive without being obtrusive. The tables aren't set too close together and the interior has a lovely sense of space to it.
Our group of four people enjoyed starters of salads, melon , or smoked salmon, main courses of steaks in mushroom sauce, a parcel of julienne fish and pork in a curry sauce. However we all selected the same dessert of chocolate fondant. All dishes are extremely beautifully presented.
The wine selection is varied and, while not cheap, very well put together. There is the option of a cheaper local wine served by the glass or carafe. read more
