Good salads, pizza, and desserts. Great, very attentive staff. Lovely and huge outdoor seating area. Food served promptly. Everyone who works there seems happy to be there. I liked it so much I went for dinner two nights in a row :) read more

Le Lamparo is a busy little restaurant in the middle of old Cahors town. We have only visited at lunchtimes so have no idea what the venue would be like for an evening meal, but for lunch you need to be there early, or arrive later and be prepared to wait! The menu is fairly comprehensive, local dishes, pizzas, steaks, I defy you not to find something to tempt your palate, and while the service is friendly, it can occasionally be a little slow, simply due to the number of covers. We have never been disappointed with our meals which are well presented, tasty and very reasonably priced. If the French love it and go day after day in their hoards, it has to be a winner. read more
