Unfortunately, it appears that (at least one of) the hairstylists aren't properly trained at all. A simple trim and fringe bangs (they didn't even know what fringe bangs were) were completely butchered. Was able to get a 50% refund (the total was $100) and get it "fixed" but the hairstylist was still unable to do an adequate job. Original cut had a difference of 3 inch unevenness in length on opposite sides of the bangs. I sincerely have never seen such poorly executed work of a foundational skill. Was repeatedly told that the unevenness of the bangs was due to a "bald spot" until I parted my hair myself to show that it was a skill issue and extremely uneven irregardless of minimal difference in hair thickness.
In the small area of my hair that was just slightly thicker, hairstylist fixated on the area as a scapegoat to justify her mistakes and began haphazardly cutting pieces at different and random shorter lengths to "thin it out." For context, this area was the perimeter/sides of my bangs that are supposed to be longer than the middle of my bangs. When I objected, asked her what she was doing, and tried to explain why that didn't make sense, she proceeded to "explain" by continuing to do it again (permanently cutting my hair). I don't think it takes a professional to know that you're not supposed to haphazardly cut the same area of your bangs at random shorter lengths to "thin it out." This is the same concept that a young child uses to justify cutting their bangs at the roots so they "won't have them anymore."
Asking for a taper from the side pieces of my bangs to the end length of my hair led to disastrous results as well. There was no strategy used in this area either to make the two sides even so any updo is frustrating as there's no way to make the thickness of the side framing pieces of my hair match at all. Between this and not properly parting the hair to cut bangs to begin with, all updos have an obvious strange hair parting between my bangs and rest of my hair as I am constantly trying to make up for the mistake of coming here for a haircut.
I do hate to leave a bad review as the customer service wasn't bad and they seem like hardworking people. However, the lack of skill (she was actually trying the 2nd time when trying to fix it) is incredible and it is only fair that potential customers know what they are going into as the higher price here doesn't constitute better quality service. read more
