It's worth the additional cost. Dr. Boatwright is amazing. She takes her time and makes you feel completely at ease. She and her staff was more than patient with my 7 year old daughter who is terrified of eye exams, thanks to past experiences with a previous eye doctor who I won't name. She was calm and at ease here because they took their time with her, didn't get annoyed at her for being scared and hesitant, and they even got her to walk out with a smile. She did need glasses, and I needed some readers, so she picked us both out a pair - pink for her, purple for me. The glasses arrived in a week and they heated and molded her frame until it fit her tiny head perfectly. I can't say enough good things about them. As for COVID cautionaries - the place is roped off. You can't get inside unless they let you in, which is only after you answer COVID related questions, have your temp taken, and use hand sanitizer. You're not allowed to touch anything. When looking at glasses frames, you point out the ones you want to try on and they put them all in a box. You try them on all at one time. Then all the frames go back in the box and into a different room for the sterilization process before going back out onto the shelves.

While I was still in Chicago, my wife started a dialogue with Tom, a very very nice representative from Chavis. Chavis was the only one who had the Speed Queen washer/dryers we needed, and Tom knew that, and was super friendly and accommodating. He warned me that I would have to order them as soon as possible once in Alabama, because, like everything, it would be delayed due to supply chain problems. It only took a month to order them and get them here, but by the 4th week we were swimming in dirty laundry. I sent Tom an email and told him this, and he squeezed me in for a faster delivery and installation. Not only was Tom professional and incredibly helpful, talking to me before I'd even shown up here in Alabama, but he was super helpful even after the sale, helping my wife pick out the right appliances for future purchases. All of this was sight unseen. I've never met Tom in person, and we've not even been to the store yet. Tom did all of this through a very lengthy, very friendly email exchange. I'm so thankful for Tom, because in a place where it's hard to even get a plumber or HVAC tech to come out, Tom hooked us up with some very hard-to-find appliances surprisingly quickly. He was also very funny, and very personable, cracking jokes and making a very tough move easier before we'd even gotten here. I just can't thank Tom and Chavis enough. They listen to my needs and go above and beyond to help problem solve and address all my concerns. As well as just being friendly and present. Finding GREAT customer service is so rare these days!! I spent a long time picking out glasses and taking photographs to decide…read more I have insurance, they looked it up in the computer, I selected my frames, they allegedly set them aside for me. And then they didn't have the information they needed, they didn't keep track of the glasses that they allegedly set aside for me, they didn't write any of the information down for me, I took photographs of even the earpieces with all the numbers on it but they did not take my measurements!!! What!!!!???? What!? I live over two hours away and told them I didn't want to come back in except to pick them up! If they needed more information, I measurement they should've taken it while I was there! They would never return my phone calls. The only way you can get through to a person is to call Premier switchboard and get transferred in because they don't accept outside calls. The best I could do is to get transferred to the answering machine which they do not reply to. The cashier did not have the fax number to fax in the prescription, said emails are not approved. She could not get the fax number for me anywhere or anytime. So I asked to be transferred to the Ophthalmologist and they had the wrong fax number. My eye doctor office had mercy on me and had to call to get the fax number and fax it in themselves! It can't be found anywhere online. Useless! Premier is Ridiculous! Horrible customer service! Not trust worthy and lazy! Doesn't pay attention to details. I couldn't get through to anybody who would take any responsibility it was a total nightmare I give up! I'm NOT working with them again. Everyone we encountered at my daughter's eye exam was friendly, especially the one who treated her so gently when she started crying while getting her pupils dilated. Dr. Alic was wonderful and kind. They were patient with her while she tried on several frames and made her selection. I will be moving our entire family over to this practice now.
