I had a terrible experience with doctor Samimi, as a person he's amazing 5 stars but as a doctor I was extremely disappointed. He fixed my ptosis but left all the extra skin above my eye, when I mentioned it he said he didn't know I wanted the extra skin gone and recommend the surgery done again, charging me a full price twice. Also noted is that I paid what they usually charge for both eyes to only get work on one eye. Cosmetic work I wouldn't recommend from here. Just be aware. read more

I had surgery to remove bags under my eyes 10 weeks ago. In addition, Dr. Samimi adjusted the height of an eyebrow and my upper lids. I am thrilled with the results. When I compare my eyes to a photo of myself from 25 years ago, I see approximately those same eyes today (so it's very natural-looking). While I wasn't in pain those few couple of weeks, I was badly bruised so I suggest you stay in hiding. The first few days I had very limited vision as I could see only through slits in my eyes. Without the best support from my wife, this would have been an unbearable process to get to the outstanding result I enjoy today when I look in the mirror. It's been almost a year since my tear duct surgery. Thought it was about time to post a review. Even though the doctor looks as though he's still in high school...it was immediately clear to me that he is very knowledgeable and experienced. Comforting considering he was going to be doing surgery on my eye. I suffered for decades with a constant draining right eye. I assumed there was nothing that could be done. I was very pleased with the work done on my eyes and have even referred others to them. My problem is with their business practices. I paid in advance. I had overpaid but they are unwilling to issue a refund. They do in fact say that I have overpaid but since I had an appointment scheduled in excess of a month out, they will not refund. Yikes a bit disappointed that I don't have a positive review. Be cautious as they charge a $200 consultation fee that they tell you is applicable towards any services you would like but then tell you they don't have any services for you and keep the fee. I thought they were kidding. Definitely not ethical.. not even sure if it's legal - but does make for a bad experience that borders on discriminatory. Doesn't appear from the reviews that this is the case for everyone but this was the case for me. I called to discuss my concern and the office did apologize and refunded $100 (half of the fee). I was referred to Dr. Samimi from another surgeon so I assume he is smart and talented. Unfortunately he appeared very arrogant and irritated the day of my visit. Dr David Samimi is a miracle worker. I had an issue for three years with a blocked lacrimal duct causing thick mucus to ooze into my eye. Over the years I saw 3 ophthalmologists and a 1 optometrist who all misdiagnosed it as dry eye. I was instructed to use drops, hot compresses, eyelid wipes, etc and nothing worked. After researching online, I eventually suspected it was dacrocystitis, so I returned to one of the ophthalmologist who said he agreed and recommended surgery. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr David Samimi (the optometrist recommended him because as a leading cosmetic surgeon, the scars would be minimal). Dr Samimi said he thought it was actually a blocked lacrimal duct which he could treat by scraping out granules and if that weren't the cause then he could perform surgery from inside my nose so there wouldn't be a scar. He did the procedure to scrape out the granules a week ago and for the first time in years I don't wake up with an eye full of mucus. Thank you Dr David Samimi! read more

I was sent to Dr. Samimi with the belief that my lower eyelid had basil cell carcinoma. At the consultation, Dr. Samimi was very caring, took his time, and gave a detailed overview of how he would remove and repair the area. He definitely relieved all my concerns and anxiety! He has such a wonderful "chair side manner" and we conversed throughout the biopsy procedure. Although swelling and bruising were to be expected, I had very minimal swelling and no bruising. Fortunately the biopsy came back negative and my eyelid has healed beautifully. I highly recommend Dr. Samimi for any eyelid concerns you may have. Dr. Samimi is the best. I do not usually write reviews. However this is the best experience that I have ever had with a doctor. I went to see Dr. Samimi for the removal of a chalazion because I first went to the doctor that was approved by my insurance and after 5 different appoints and surgery that doctor left half of the chalazion on my lid and some scaring. I did not trust going back to him because the lesion was on the crease of my lid. I found Samimi on yelp and although he was not covered under my insurance I still went for a consult because I wanted the chalazion removed correctly. To my surprise his prices even out of pocket are very reasonable and I paid cash to have the chalazion removed at the consult. He was great even right after the surgery with my eye swollen the chalazion was gone for good. He took his time to make sure that the chalazion not only completely removed but aesthetically matched the other eye with no scaring. It's been a little over a month and my lid is completely healed with no scaring and I could not be happier. I will never trust any other doctor with my eyes besides Samimi. If your looking for the best Eye lid specialist I would not hesitate to go here. Even if he does not take your insurance please go for a consult and let him give you options because I paid the same for my one time removal as I paid in co-pays to my insures for going to the other doctor 5 times. read more

I was referred to Dr. Samimi by my eye doctor for an eyelid lift. My lids were so saggy that they were impairing my vision and making me look constantly tired. My experience from my first consultation all the way through the final follow up after my surgery was outstanding. I am so glad that I went to see Dr. Samimi! I had Moh's to have skin cancer removed from the bridge of my nose and my dermatologist suggested I see Dr. Samimi to do the closure. I was hesitant because I was hoping I'd be able to allow the wound to close on its own, but going to Dr. Samimi was absolutely the right decision. The office staff was nice, friendly and efficient.
