I had a standard exam with a contact refit, I have been wearing contacts for almost 10 years, but this did not matter. I had to pay $25 for a "trial" pair, and I am supposed to return in a few weeks to make sure they are ok before I can order some new ones. The bf also had a standard exam plus contact training as he has never worn them before. It cost him $75 for someone to tell him to put the thing in and take it out 3 times, he wasn't helpful at all. I think I could have taught him better. I understand why there is training, but why must it cost so much, especially when the dude wasn't helpful? On a side note it was painful for me to watch my bf struggling with his lenses (but yet funny too) Oh and they could not direct bill either of our medical insurance companies (Manulife, Greatwest Life) which is fine, we can send in claims but noteworthy. Don't expect to find cheap glasses here, they are all designer frames. I almost bought a pair of Burberry, then I noticed Armani, then Gucci.. you can just imagine how much I could have spent on glasses. Now you must excuse me while I go help my newly contacted bf get his lenses out.

This Vogue Optical location is especially helpful and friendly. We purchased my son's last pairs…read moreof glasses here, and were happy with the level of service we obtained. My son wears a noticeably thicker lens on the left-hand side; Vogue made sure we knew which glasses could accommodate this need, and also did their best to process the lens in a way that made it as thin as possible. I don't even notice the difference between the two lenses! Vogue's "Second Pair Free" policy is good across all locations, of course, and this store is no different. One thing you may not have known is that Vogue allows children (up to age 12) to defer their second pair for up to a year from purchase. This makes a big difference when the kiddos are at an age where their head is still growing. We were able to pick up a second pair for my son this March that fit him much better than the old pair. Of course, there's also the famous Vogue repair policy; when my son's glasses snapped across the nosepiece, Vogue ordered up a replacement on the spot. It took a few days to get the new frames in, of course, but not unreasonably so. I consider Vogue to be the destination spot for glasses, due to their policies and prices. The service at this location places them a little above the other stores I've frequented.

I asked him what he meant and he got all defensive and called me difficult. I explained that I just wanted his opinion since he works in that field. He then told us that we were "done" there, got up and opened the door for us to leave (he basically kicked us out) and suggested we wait until the doctor redid the prescription. I asked him again why the prescription didn't make sense and he continued to be hostile towards us. As we left we told him we'd never come back. We then went to Vogue who treated us very well and they understood the prescription perfectly and helped us out 100X more than this guy was willing to.

I called the clinic a few minutes before opening time Monday morning in the hopes of seeing a Doctor within the next day or two. After detailing my problem, the young lady I was speaking with immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Paula Gaudet. Dr Gaudet was extremely thorough in her examination of my eye, and took the time to explain not only in detail , but in language I could understand, exactly what had happened, and what needed to be done moving forward. She, as well as all the other staff I encountered today, put me at ease during what I considered to be a stressful situation. I would highly recommend this clinic, and in particular Dr. Gaudet, if you are in need of an optometrist.

I called in to order some new contacts, my morning started off with me ripping my last pair...so I called to order a new box, I was informed it had been two years since my last eye exam and they could not do anything until I had an eye exam. I explained that I would be happy to do that, but wondering if I could just get one pair to tie me over till I could get in for an appointment. I was told NO, there was no discussion, they were not going to help me until I came in for my $120 eye exam, even though I have been purchasing contacts on a regular basis. I have been a customer there for over 10 years and thought that my loyalty would count for something, I was not looking for a freebie, wanted to order more contacts, make an appointment for an eye exam, and in the mean time needed a pair to get me through. I sent an email to them to explaining my disappointment in their lack of effort to help me, I have not heard a thing. I was not expecting wine and flowers, but maybe a follow up phone call to an upset customer.. that makes good business sense to me. It all worked out in the end, found a great new eye Dr who only charged $70 for the same appointment they charged $120, got my contacts, and I will be happy to spend my money there :) I do not recommend the Doctor's eye clinic, it is all about how much money they can make, not the patient! It's to bad they can't "see" what good customer service is about.
