I called ahead to confirm I could get glasses made the same day and wasn't able to arrive before 1:00. From the moment Virginia answered my call until 2 hours later when I walked out the door, I was treated as a valued, longtime customer. I had a coupon I found online, but Jamey gave me options that saved me more money than using the coupon. My glasses were ready in under 90 minutes and I love them! Jamey is knowledgeable, kind, customer service oriented and ensured everything I was "fussy" about was in place. I have not had good experience with same day glasses in the past and shared that with him, but my glasses are as perfect as the ones I've paid quadruple the price for at my eye doctor's office in another state. I am definitely bringing my husband here soon to get his glasses and highly recommend Eyeglass Maxx for value, high quality product and outstanding service.

Fatima Moon sells you a big load of lies…read more This is the first time I've ever been to an eyeware business that sells you on frames and lenses, but does not give you any proof of what they just told you they're ordering for you. Additionally, this is supposed to be a high-end concierge service. Yet she did not listen to me when I questioned her pushing me on getting the two frames I picked out with progressive lenses for reading and distance, yet i've only had computer progressives in the past, and I spend thirteen hours a day on a computer for work. When I pressed more, she offered to give me computer lenses in my old glasses as part of the package price she offered. I decided to move forward and, as I was leaving, tried to give her my old glasses for the new lenses. She said, "No, I can do that quickly when you come back," and then shared how she fits all the lenses herself. Upon return to pick up my new glasses and expecting to get the new lenses in my old glasses, she only produced the new frames and lenses. When I questioned her, she said, "I didn't order computer glasses and claimed I told her I couldn't afford them?? Which makes no sense because they were part of the package price she offered me.... she then found her scribbled paper where she wrote out the package looked at it said, yep, i'm right.I didn't offer you that" and then proceeded to rip it up without showing it to me!! I'm not confrontational and didn't want to cause a scene, so I just left with the two overpriced glasses that don't fit my lifestyle. She texted me a week later to check on them and I politely shared my concerns. She said that she could take back the frames. No problem, but the lab will not refund the lenses. She also said the lab would change the lenses if I wanted to switch to computer progressives. I thought about it and decided to ask if she would take one of the frames back because they're kind of heavy anyway, and replace the lenses in those frames with computer progressives in my old glasses. At this point, she now started claiming that she doesn't take back frames and stated that clearly nothing will make me happy? Obviously, that's confusing because I just told her what would make me happy.... I was very taken aback by this and professionally shared how disappointed I was that I felt like she had duped me from the beginning because she never put computer progressives in my old glasses, even though she told me she would. She responded to this by telling me, "I was "out of my mind" this is all on text.... She went crazy..... she's very unprofessional and not trustworthy. If you're going to take a risk to do business with her, make sure she gives you everything in writing of what she's "selling you on" Finally, keep in mind that she likes to brag about all the rich Sarasota, people that spend crazy money in her store. Including 40 year old retired lawyers on long boat key and all the other rich Sarasota, folks that spend thousands of dollars in there, unnecessarily. *these were her words.

My experience with her was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor before. She was nothing but rude, condescending, and extremely uncaring the entire time. She did not know how to interact with any patients, especially not neurodivergent patients like me on the austitic spectrum. She seems much more suited to something that doesn't involve interacting with anyone as she doesn't seem capable of handling any sort of criticism in the slightest. I have been wearing Contact Lenses since the age of 16…read more However, for the first time in my life while I was watching TV I accidentally fell asleep with my Contact Lenses. When I woke up "Both of My eyes were hurting so much!!!! AND "For the record" I did try numerous times taking out the Contacts with Contact Lenses Solution with my thumbs but it didn't work . "Both of my eyes were hurting so much and the pain in both of my eyes was unbearable". I knew that there was no way that I could drive on I75 from LAKEWOOD RANCH. My husband was at work. Therefore, I had to wait until he got off work so he could take me directly to GULF COSTAL EYE CENTER. But the point of this review I was in so much pain and it was unbearable. Dr Steven Bovio took the time 30 minutes before closing his office to attend me. He cleared me that I didn't have the contact lenses still in my eyes and he prescribed eye drop medication to take. And I'm not allowed to drive for five days. The point of this review is to clearly "STATE" that if you just moved to this area. Or if you don't like your optometrist and you're looking to change to a new optometrist look no further!!!! Go to see "DR. STEVEN BOVIO" !!!!
