However, I was very disappointed this past Saturday when I pulled up into the parking lot at 4:36 PM pulled on the door handle and it was locked .Peered through the tinted glass door , and a male individual signaled to me that they were closed. I immediately thought I must've read their hours wrong for a Saturday. As it turned out, I hadn't read them wrong. Their hours said they would be open until 5 PM. Boy I felt like I had been punched in the gut. It wouldn't have been so bad, but I made a special trip from out of town. I really felt unappreciated as a customer. Maybe the owner needs to realize that customer service is more than just assisting people inside the store, but also entails giving reliable information to their customers. Still uncertain if I'll ever go back.!

Elgin is lucky to have a great place where we can go get what we need quickly and have people there who know what they are talking about. And so, some of the prices, not all, but some are a little more than the big box stores. The way I look at it is, my time is worth more than saving a few bucks here or there. I value my time and will continue to give E&T first shot at just about everything I need and only go to Lowes or HD when either E&T does not have what I need or the price is such that I have no other choice.

She had forgotten her Apple ID information. Anyone who uses apple products knows what a problem this can be. Two of the associates, Ashleigh and Iisa, took the time not only to make sure I got my upgrades, but to make sure my Apple ID issues were resolved. Every associate goes out of their way to help you in anyway they can. I experience this service every time I visit this store. I came in with a picture 2 months before my appointment and showed the stylist during my consultation what I wanted from the start. I was also considering going for a natural all over color. Once my appointment came, I finally decided to go with the highlights instead. The stylist said my hair wouldn't look exactly like the picture, when previously she said it would. So instead she searched pictures online and suggested some suggestions. I reluctantly agreed. I'm too nice of a person to say no blatantly. She made me completely dark and took away the blonde I wanted so badly! I didn't say anything but it said "it was better than before." The receptionist said my hair looked look nice and Cassandra did a great job, ha! The lighting in the salon sucks. My color came out completely brassy and didn't notice it and properly see it until I got home. So I called and asked for it to be fixed. I came in again and she toned my hair. Less brassy but even darker than before and nothing like the picture she picked! Insane. I still wasn't happy and I asked if she can redo it or a refund from the owner. The stylist said she was uncomfortable since my hair was over processed thanks to her! Before I even got my hair colored she said my hair was ok just a little dry. She offered to take me back to my natural color which isn't what I wanted, I asked for a refund. The owner, stylist and receptionists are complete liars. How can someone be indecisive when they show the stylist a picture 60 days in advance?!! All their responses were rehearsed, apparently the owner thinks I came in to the salon for "free work." You couldn't pay me to come to such a horrible place and I have the money. Also, the receptionist and owner claimed I told them them about my other mishap at another salon, which is also a lie. I never met the owner until the second visit and didn't even speak to her nor the receptionist. I spoke to the stylist what happened previously. In the dispute the stylist said I said it was better! I may have said that but better isn't what I asked for. The receptionist also claimed I said "I like it very much!" I have never said that statement in my life, Lol! Avoid this place at all cost! Complete waste of time and money. Most horrific salon experience of my life.
