Submitting this review because of some of the bad ones I saw prior to going in. I went in there this am around 9am. I was greeted right away, Day helped me. She was extremely helpful, took time to find the right fitting frames for me and I was out of there in about 15-20min with the two frames I chose for around $150 for both including the prescription (which I already had). I came back around 12:30 and they were ready to go. Couldn't believe how quick the turn around was and the service was great. I will definitely come back. read more

Love the doctor there. But they do need to specify about the two for 89 glasses. I picked up two frames that I really loved and they run up $600 i said it was 2 for 89. She says no that's for people that don't have insurance so they can get that discount. Which it did not say that. I didn't argue I just took one of the glasses off. I just bought one. read more

The doctor was super nice that did our eye exam and very knowledgeable and took his time with my son. When we went to go pick out our glasses we were just kind of on our own looking they told us what area to look. we encountered very nice people were greeted when we came in. The lady who checked us out and sized his glasses was nice as well. She was able to explain what our insurance was going to pay and the difference we did. read more

Let me start by saying my appointment was at 11.45 and I wasn't seen for over an hour after. While I was waiting to be seen the ladies up front decided to talk about turn over and discuss an email from the boss that made them all mad and other employees and such.. extremely unprofessional. Then the dr decided it was a great idea to lecture me on my type one diabetes and that I should do better at seeing a dr for that and made me feel like complete crap because I don't have insurance and can't afford to go have regular A1Cs done. Then told me off because I was 4 month late for an eye exam. I had one done February of last year.. it's June and I didn't need a lecture because I'm a little late. After he made me feel terrible I was almost in tears and ended up not even buy glasses there because I honestly didn't want to give any more of my money to them after that. I have never had an eye doctor shame me for not having insurance and being able to see a doctor regularly for diabetes.. my eyes have no damage from diabetes and I do my best to do the best I can for my diabetes. Long story short I will NEVER give my money to this doctor or this company again! Terrible experience!!!! read more

I went to Eyeglass World in Longview recently for the first time in 2 1/2 years. I was taken aback by how much it had changed! It was disorganized looking and dirty. Coffee was brought out in a dispenser and I quickly got a cup. Ugh!! it looked and tasted like warmed over coffee from the day before! As I filled out my patient info form I began to realize what had happened. I got to the part about designating my gender. Male - Female- or 'preferred gender'. Oh my God! Everyone (except one employee) was exceptionally friendly with great customer service, but sadly, all it takes is one bad encounter to ruin the way you feel about a company. This happened on Valentine's Day 2018, early afternoon. My wife was ready to buy her year's supply of contacts and a new pair of frames. The older lady who helped us toward the end wasn't friendly to begin with, but became obviously curt when my wife tried to explain to her we would need to come back next week to finalize the transaction, as her optometrist would not write her a prescription without trying on this new type of contacts for at least a week to make sure she did not have any issues with them due to her sensitive eyes. (Do they get paid on commission or what? She wasn't even the first one who greeted us/checked on us throughout to make sure we were ok. That was 2 other excellent employees). My mistake for then asking her to adjust my frames that I purchased there. You could tell she was annoyed and didn't even respond verbally when I tried to explain how they were loose, just looked at me like I was stupid and bothering her. My eyes widened as she proceeded to take a pair of metal pliers directly to the frames, but I said nothing because, hey what do I know? She's the professional, right? Sure enough, now I have scratches and indentations on both sides of my formerly polished-look frames. I didn't even say anything at first because I did not want to make a big deal about it. I'm the kind of guy that'll gladly eat the wrong order at a restaurant just to not bother anyone, but after gathering my thoughts I decided to hopefully save future customers the trouble and say something. To the store's credit, the gentleman there immediately told her to give me a free pair, but these frames are no longer available. If I wanted a new pair, I would have bought them myself, but did not, as I could find nothing I liked. Even after the offer, she quickly tried to dismiss me because my prescription is out of date in their system. Guess what? I went there straight from the optometrist with a new prescription! She did not even ask. After getting my prescription from the car and coming back, I decided it was not worth the hassle. They don't have anything I want. It's not about money. I'll find something I like somewhere else and pay for them myself. This is the same lady who was previously curt with both my wife and sister-in-law during previous visits. This is the place we will be getting our glasses from now on. I have a really hard time finding glasses that are small enough for my petite features and head, but have enough room for proper placement of the bifocal part of my lens. After finding frames that I liked, I found out that they weren't going to work for my prescription, but the very knowledgeable optician, Laurie, assured me that she would help me find a frame that would meet all the criteria necessary. And that's exactly what happened! She helped me find a pair that looked good and would work with my prescription, made sure the measurements were just right, and went that extra mile to get me the best deal possible. I'll be going back in a couple of months when the new line of frames come in to buy another pair, and so will my husband. He was more impressed with the professionalism at Eyeglass World than what was experienced at America's (Not-So) Best. read more

This review is for the optometrist..of Eye world... My daughter, a college student was in and needed an eye exam on a Saturday.. This optometrist was totally rude to her in performing her exam and giving her information regarding how Terrible her eyes were..he then came to the visitor waiting room and continued discussing her condition in the open lobby of his waiting area.. If I'm not mistsken this is suppose to be a place of privacy and where you hope to have return clients... Compassion and education should be displayed since he is the professional ?? Not here ..
