They have before Dr Parker- omg he is god optometrist... but days gone.. If you want experience poor, very poor customer service- yes it's your place! They literally lied about my insurance policy trying to make me paid extra, so I ask them check my policy. They told me that they have some sort of package, so do not expect your BCBS will cover, they refused take care me us was last year, they scheduled my appointment, I make office, they started, but than they ask me paid out of packet extra, which I never paid because insurance cove, they're cancel my appointment and kick me out... Absolutely ridiculous! I don't know if only I was treated that poorly, but my question is why we're millions Americans buying this insurance? read more

It was my first time there. The lady at the reception desk was very helpful. Everyone was very professional, and it helped me relax. My prescription did not match my eyes. One of the assistants tested my glasses and just handed them back. I have to sit 12 inches from my computer screen to read anything. Would not recommend them to anyone. They have very bad service, bad attention. The staff has no experience in what they are doing. Since July 5, they ordered contact lenses for me and told me when they were ready. They never called me and When I went to ask they said there was nothing ordered. But they already charged me. I called again and went to the clinic and they told me I have to make another appointment. They didn't solve anything for me. I asked for a refund of my money and they told me they were going to refund it to me. For this reason I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. I hope that the manager or supervisor of the clinic in Hendersonville sees my comment and can do something to improve the care of the clinic staff. read more

I have had 20/20 vision my whole life and recently noticed some changes. I went here and they were great. I waited to write the review until I got my contacts figured out. Tried several pair before I got the perfect ones. The staff have been very patient and accommodating with me. Got glasses as well as contacts and couldn't be happier. The staff is very nice and always calls me by name. Not the 1st time I have seen an eye doctor, but the 1st time I needed a prescription and they explained everything. I will never go here again! They bait & switched me like a true professional! Not their first scam I'm sure. They told me upfront a $100 price if I showed proof of Blue Cross Blue Shield health ins. "They'd honor BCBS rate!" So I did w/ photo Id. Next thing I know my ins co paid them over $179 additional for things that aren't done. I tell BCBS not to pay. Since I signed an authorization they couldn't refuse payment. BCBS advised me how to protect both of us next time and advised this wasn't first complaint about this group. I've been contacted by a collection agency that I advised the BBB was looking into my claim. Btw. They have no credit from BBB. I've spoken with a regional mgr for this group who offered me to pay $99 cash to store and it would go away. I'm over 800 credit score. This won't both me. I refuse to pay but don't get caught like myself and others!!! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I waited an hour to be called back (yes I had an appt) while listening to a desk employee complain about working there, was pushed to pay $49 for some picture (I did not), portions of the exam performed by techs. The person that performed the usual "better one, better two" part (no clue who she was because she did not introduce herself) continually tried to push progressive lenses on me which I made very clear BEFORE the exam I do not want. I was pushed to do dilation even with notifying her I was driving. After telling me she could not correct my vision she said well let's go back to the "pin hole" again and see if we can get it better. Aahhh, now she can improve it... with progressive lenses!! Then the lined bifocals are pushed. She never said a word about the astigmatism I've had for years. I grabbed my purse, said I'm done and walked out to the desk. This person followed me to the front desk continuing to talk about my vision and progressive lenses, then the same woman complaining about her job decides to tell me all about her vision and glasses. This was direct violation of hippa to discuss my situation in a crowded lobby. I was given my prescription "in case I decided to come back or even buy them elsewhere." Why would I want a prescription for exactly what I made very clear I do not want and will not buy?! This nightmare wasted THREE HOURS of my time!! I left with a receipt and a useless prescription. NEVER AGAIN!!! Just awful!! read more

BEWARE!!!! I went here when I first moved to Hendersonville because I was out of contacts and my glasses could have used an update. The staff was nice and friendly and they ran everything through my vision insurance and gave me what my pricing would be. I thought it was a little high, but was in dire need of contacts so I went forward. I paid everything and from what I thought, the account was settled. Apparently not! Next thing I know, I get a call from a debt collector saying that I own them another $70. No bills, no notice, just a debt collector. I have an over 800 credit score so was really concerned about this call. I told the collector to give me her information and I would call her back because I wanted to call Eyecare Plus. I called and spoke to the most apathetic customer service rep ever. He didn't care, had no customer service, nothing. I asked him for an explanation of the bill. He proceeded to tell me that the $70 was for a picture that the doctor took and that it was up to the doctor if they wanted to use it and bill for it. I told him this was never explained or disclosed to me. Furthermore, had I know about this, I would have made the decision to approve or disapprove and had I approved it, I could have paid for it using me Flex Spending Account. Again, he was totally apathetic, didn't care, wasn't willing to help or do anything that seemed like work. I ended up paying it because I didn't want to affect my credit. As another reviewer on here said, it's classic Bait and Switch. I won't be going back here again. I would also recommend others to find someone else. By the time all was said and done, this visit ran a total of over $660. BEWARE!! read more

Late August 2020 I received a phone call that my account was going to collections in 10 days if I didn't pay my bill for a 3/7/20 visit.... Due to Covid and waiting for a response from insurance, I wasn't surprised that was taking a while for billing and I paid the requested co-pays so I thought every done. When I contacted the office and finally received their bill, it was 8/26/20. I told Christine at the Hendersonville Office I would pay the bill as soon as I returned from traveling -- she said ok. I returned, reviewed the bill and there was $300 of Doctor Charges of which $175 I was not informed about during my visit!!!! $300 in one visit!!!! Wow! When I visited to discuss the charges they said they would need 3 business days to figure out the insurance since it didn't post correctly -- I still offered to immediately pay everything but the $175 which I was disputing for a total of $320 (insurance should have paid some and some tests were more than they said by $10 or $15 each). They said no need and we can discuss on 9/9 or 9/10 after they talk to the insurance. WELL, WELL -- they turned my account over to Collections!!! REALLY! I was talking with them, willing to pay almost all of it and I work with the insurance company but "no need" per Jessica in the main billing department. BEWARE! HIDDEN FEES! HIDDEN CHARGES! MISINFORMATION! BTW... my credit rating when I purchased a car last November was 810 -- I pay my bills! read more

My husband had his eyes examined and got a prescription for new glasses. We went to Lens Crafters to get his glasses and when we went to pick them up, he couldn't see through them. We had his eyes rechecked at Lens Crafters (at our expense) and were told his prescription was not even close. They had made up 2 pair of glasses (regular and sun glasses progressive lenses) which had to be remade. I called Eyecare Plus and spoke with the manager. I requested to be reimbursed for the second eye exam and he told me he could not do that. He said he should have come back, they have other doctors and I could get a second opinion. I am not looking for a second opinion - I am looking for an ACCURATE PRESCRIPTION!!! He would do nothing for me for this NEGLIGENT CARE! Needless to say, we will never go there again! read more

This is an exceptional establishment. The staff is polite, efficient, helpful and friendly. The eyeglasses selection is affordable and stylish. The environment is clean and well-lit. I had a very good experience here and would recommend it to anyone who needs any kind of eye care. Even though it was just before Christmas and it was pretty busy, I did not feel like they were rushing me to choose my eyeglasses. They used this new measuring tool to determine how my new eyeglasses needed to be made and, even though they were just learning to use it, they were honest about being slower (all the other services -- the eye puff test, optometrist testing, paying -- were not slow at all) because they wanted to be sure they would get things right. WARNING! I believe this place practices unethical business practices. When you come in they ask for your vision insurance card AND your medical insurance card. When they find out you have Medicare they say they will do additional tests since Medicare pays for it. I came in for an eye exam which was covered by my vision insurance. Then in addition they charged me and Medicare $322 for procedures that they never told me about and I did not even know about or notice. Buyer be aware if you decide to go to this place ! They appear to want to pad your bill so they can charge Medicare! read more
