I believe I was speaking with Shelilah. I let her know my past stylist had put my long bangs/face-framing layers on a side part and I wanted it fixed to be more in the middle plus a little bit shorter. I sent her pictures and she quoted me $20 and we set an appointment. The day/time of my appointment, I arrived and texted the business number to let them know I was there. I received a text back saying they had forgotten to put my appointment on the schedule and weren't able to help me that day. They asked to reschedule, which was a bummer since I was leaving that evening for my trip but not the end of the world. We rescheduled for when I got back a week later. The next week, 20min before my appointment, I texted the business number again to confirm I was still coming to my appointment. I got a text back saying the stylist scheduled to take care of me that day had called in sick and no one else was available to help me. It was unclear who I had been scheduled with since I thought I had booked with Shelilah from the beginning. Shelilah asked if i could come in tomorrow instead and she would help me. I was surprised that I wasn't notified that my appointment was canceled. What if I hadn't texted in advance to let them know I was still coming and just showed up?. But again, not the end of the world and Shelilah said the trim would be complimentary. The next day, I got a text a few hours before my appointment asking if i could come in 2 hours early. I said I could do that and I arrived for my service. I felt I was treated as a nuisance/chore during my visit. I spent maybe five minutes in the chair, and when I was unsure I was happy about how the trim looked, Shelilah let me know anything more would be considered a full hair cut. After that remark I got up and left. I would have tipped if I had felt happy with the service but I ended up feeling unwelcome. When I got home and looked at my bangs in the mirror, they looked choppy and uneven. I texted pictures of my hair to a friend of mine who is also a hair stylist and she ended up fixing them for me. If she lived closer I would have gone with her in the first place, because wow they look so much better now! I was hoping to have found a great salon in my area that I would return to for future appointments, but the lack of customer service and poor cut made me not want to go back. I'm sure other stylists there are good, but I will be looking elsewhere since Shelilah is the owner and I had a poor experience with her. I would have preferred they let me know they weren't wanting to do such a small service rather than taking me and making me feel like a bother. I feel no matter how small the service you should treat every customer like they are important.

She begins to exfoliate my legs, aggressively and applying pressure directly to my shin bone. I felt like she was upset that I kept wincing in pain multiple times. Unsure if that was the case, but it definitely came off that way. I will not be returning. To the staff of Bellagio: 1) Never assume a customer does not understand, I myself spent all of my 20s in Asia (Specifically Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan). 2) Please be more gentle with the skin on the toes, it is fragile and can bleed easily. 3) When applying an exfoliant or lotion, regardless of trying to massage the leg, apply with little to no force and focus on areas where muscle resides (example: the calves). This is a very pretty salon and has the potential to be great, but staff must display better customer service and general kindness to customers. I was looking forward to nice day of self care while visiting my niece, but now I will not return. People come to the salon to relax, not to be on edge what will happen to their hands or feet next.

I came into Sky Nail a couple of days ago and received my nail service from Kevin. I have to give him credit--he was mostly professional, attentive to detail, and worked quickly. However, I specifically asked for a builder gel fill, and he attempted to use acrylic instead. I felt like he was trying to get over on me, but I decided to let it slide. Overall, I was very happy with how my nails turned out. Unfortunately, I also ran into Tom, a nail tech I've had issues with in the past. When he owned his own salon, I left an honest review about an experience where I felt he was at fault. Rather than taking accountability or addressing my concerns professionally, he responded sarcastically, 'Hope you can find a good chop shop that will do your nails.' I found that comment pretty ironic considering he now works at what he once referred to as a 'chop shop.' What ultimately prompted me to write this review, however, was the behavior I personally witnessed during this visit. Tom was servicing a young woman when he walked over to my nail tech and asked in Vietnamese, "Do you think her breasts are real or fake?" Later, as the client was leaving, he made another comment to my nail tech and said, 'Her body is so nice, I'd work and give her all my money.' Mind you, this was being said about a paying client who had just been sitting in his chair. What made the comment even more inappropriate was that this was coming from a married man. I understood every word because I am fluent in Vietnamese. Regardless of whether an employee believes a client can understand the language being spoken, discussing a paying client's breasts and body while she is sitting there receiving a service is incredibly inappropriate, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Clients should be able to walk into a nail salon without having sexual comments made about their bodies behind their backs--or directly in front of them in another language. Speaking in another language in front of clients in a way that excludes them from the conversation can also come across as rude and unprofessional, especially when the conversation is about the clients themselves. In this situation, it allowed inappropriate comments to be made openly while assuming the client would not understand. Overall, Kevin was great, and I was happy with the service he provided. What made the situation even more disappointing was that the owner was present and appeared to hear the comments being made, yet I did not see the behavior addressed or corrected. Allowing sexual comments about a paying client to go unchallenged reflects poorly on the professionalism of the salon. I hope Sky Nail management takes this seriously because clients deserve to feel comfortable, respected, and safe while receiving a service.

Once I was ready to pay following the first two services she then claimed they didn't offer henna services at all. When it was clearly listed on their bulletin of services above. I wouldn't have gotten any services done had I known henna was not a service even offered apparently. I do my own eyebrow threading on myself and threading in general. Left without the service I wanted in the first place.

The last straw was when I came in for threading and the lady who was doing my eyebrows and sideburns and she told me that I "shouldn't have waited so long" with an expression of contempt on her face. I was not only taken by surprise as I have been a loyal long time customer (we're talking over 15 years) and have always tipped generously. This day, I became furious. The worker here (one in particular) acts if they are doing you a favor when you are paying them for a service. She does all but roll her eyes when you come in for treatment. The least they can do is be courteous. I have taken my business elsewhere. Wouldn't waste your time.
