Not just…read morethe pretty Thai artefacts one comes to expect from these places, everything is freshly painted, radiators with digital temperature controls, futuristic shower fittings and the odd David Beckham grooming product! It is good on the basics as well with the traditional low king-sized massage beds. For all this, the price is still £35 for one hour Thai oil massage. I have been here just the once, and was well-treated by Sarah - other friends have commented favourably on two other ladies working here, Nicky and Amy. My recollection is that Sarah used mainly stroking and body weight type techniques with a few yoga massage stretches. As well as having massage technique which is well above average, Sarah is curvy, good-looking and laughs a lot - she's the complete package! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return. I find it quite heartening to see characterful independent businesses such as this opening so close to Liverpool Central Rail station and thus part of the upbeat retail and food scene centered around Bold Street.

The decor was nice, I was greeted and told to wait a moment while she finished on the phone. The massage was ok and a little rushed. It got a bit awkward when half way through I was offered unexpected services, and declined I fear my wife lol ,..good for those who are into that thing.

Okay, we all know how difficult it is to find a hairdresser we can trust, well search no further…read morepilgrims of the perfect hairstyle. I love this place! After one too many hair nightmares I came here on recommendation from a friend and I've never looked back. This is a hairdressing studio that truly cares and your hair really will be Fabulous when you leave! Run by Rachel, it's a great little find, hidden in the Static Gallery building, full of bright colours and personality; pink and green drapes (following the watermelon theme here) and bare brick walls give this gem of a studio little personal touches which make you feel at home instantly. It's really cheap for the service you get (I paid £25 for a full re-style) and so relaxed and fun that I can't imagine going anywhere else now. She knows what I want, is awesome at offering advice on styles that will suit me and does a fantastic job. With all the character and friendliness that you just won't find in a chain, if you're in search for a new personal hairdresser, this place is definitely a must.

Having always been passionate about my hair colour/shape and cut, and willing to spend whatever the High St popular hairdressers throw at me, I feel lucky and privileged to have found Rachel who gives me everything I want in a haircut experience at an affordable price. My regular visits to Watermelon Studio with the absolutely professionalism and creativity of Rachel means that I have never been happier with my hair. What I love about Rachel is her honesty and ability to listen to what the client wants and needs. I have many friends who now go to Watermelon Studio who are relieved to have finally met a hairdresser who listens to what the customer wants and they leave, as I do feeling fabulous! If you want a hairdressing experience that's unique, meets your needs in a relaxed, informal atmosphere you HAVE to visit. You will not be sorry!

Hair Transform is a specialist in hair extensions and hair loss systems. However once I told the lady exactly what I wanted, also showed a picture of how my hair use to be before it faded and roots have grown. (brown with blonde streaks) she just told me that it looked blonde. You could clearly tell I had streaks from the picture. She said to me 'I'm not going to do your hair until you tell me how you want it, when you come to an hairdressers you should know what you want to have.' which I thought was quite rude and I knew exactly what I wanted. So she just passed me a hair book and the only thing I found that was like what I wanted was a Jennifer Aniston. She she said okay I'll just make it a warm caramel colour.. The price was really quite expensive too for what I was having. I only paid £70 pound previously in a different hair dressers. For a FULL head of highlights, cut and dyed brown. This cost me £107 for HALF head of high lights, dyed a horrible copper colour and finished in an un finished way. To be honest I could of cried when I left the shop, I would of told her that I didn't like it but I felt too patronised by her to say anything. She didn't make much conversation with me through out either. Also she said to me, do to want it straight or curly so I said straight.. She just left it from drying it. Isn't even straighten in. Just left my fringe flopped in a horrible way. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I will never return to this hair dressers. Really disappointed with the hair colour. Even hated having my picture took after wards because it just looked a horrible copper colour and my roots where quite ginger when I first had it done. I only kept it this way for around a month and half, it faded a light copper/ginger colour. So therefore not a good experience at all. Had to travel 2 and half hours to get my hair re done just how I wanted it. Now it is perfect, was a lot cheaper and actually straightened it and I left happy rather than wanting to cry. Would not advise anyone to go there. The lady was rude, patronising, spoke about herself a lot and just told me it looked really nice even though I left with it looking a mess and roots a different colour. Very over priced for rubbish quality.

The staff are very welcoming when you enter the building and do actually seem happy to help. I had my hair cut here once and the stylist and apprentice really went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. When my hair was washed I was also given a head massage which was absolutely amazing. I was provided with a drink and a magazine whilst I was there. The stylist was excellent. She actually listened to what I wanted and took her time doing the cut, rather than giving the impression that she was rushing to get me done and out of there, as I have often felt in other salons. When my cut was expertly dried I was extremely happy with the result, it was exactly what I wanted and actually even better than the picture I had shown her. Toni & Guy is more expensive than many city centre salons but it is worth it for a treat. As famous as it is, this branch in Whitechapel meets all their high standards with friendly, welcoming and confident staff to assist you. There is a very professional approach as you would imagine for a salon of this class. The only catch is that prices are expensive so you are gambling on a perfect service and hoping that you'll leave with a big smile on your face. I've not been here to use any of their services but by word of mouth, I have heard so many excellent remarks about this particular studio. Staff were extremely helpful when I made enquiries about their hair services, however my hair is so simple that I never need anything special doing. Perhaps I could do with some highlighting in the future! At least Toni & Guy is a place I could probably trust.
