I absolutely needed my glasses for work after New Years. I made a special trip to drop off my frames on Thursday morning, giving them two extra days before the weekend. When I went to pick up my glasses on the following Friday, they lied and told me that someone else had picked them up. Finally they admitted that they had sent the glasses to the lab only on the Friday afternoon before the weekend and Christmas break. My glasses were still in Toronto! I did not get them until the following Tuesday. I will never give this company my business again!

I had purchased a pair of rather expensive eye-glasses from this location over three Years ago, and…read morein the last Year, one of the arms separated from the frame. The frames were useable, however were bound to break complete soon. I had asked a while back if they were repairable, however one of the staff stated probably not, so I should just get an exam and new frames. I initially was not impressed with this response, as at the time the frames were only two Years old, and were rather costly($300-400). I contacted the company that produce the frames, and they sent me on a wild goose chase to find a replacement part, however they eventually contacted IRIS to see if they could help. In short, after almost a Year, they were able to get the correct replacement arm, and my frames are fixed :) However please be aware, that most eye-frame companies only produce certain frames with parts readily available for two Years, where as a few frameless glasses are able to be repaired with available parts for several Years after production of the frames...

Without knowing the facts he called this practice of purchasing contact on-line 'sketchy'. Dr. Benoit did a full court press to sell us glasses, and suggested we take our business elsewhere because he was not happy we purchased contact on-line instead of at his store... we will follow his advice and take the business of all four children elsewhere.

I'm passing along my experience at FYI Sherwood Park which began on April 6, 2024. Appt was at…read more10:45 am, at 11:20 was told I would be next. I needed to know the time frame involved as I had another appt in 30 minutes, they blamed the delay on the number of senior citizen appts that morning and that they take longer. I protested that was not a proper thing to say and I too was an over 60 patient. I thought - to myself- it may be a scheduling/booking matter? I rescheduled my appt and left. Two hours before my new appt an unidentified male called my husband's phone and asked to speak to me. I was unable to take the call and the message was for me to call FYI office. When I called back, I was told by Christine that Dr. Pierre Benoit did not want me as a patient due to the way I objected to the senior remark at the initial exchange. I wish he had been there to witness the entire conversation. My family has been patients of Dr. Benoit since he started at FYI Sherwood Park. So, I am disappointed how this whole matter has been escalated because I spoke out against prejudice against a certain segment of the population. Kathleen R.
