After visiting 3 other dentists who I won't name, but who I consider some of the worst PEOPLE I've ever met, Dr. Eyckmann is a breath of fresh air. He's honest. He'll refer you when necessary. He'll prepare you for any expenses that may be incurred and he'll give you options. He's the only Manhattan Dentist I've met who seems to care about more than just money. I cannot recommend him highly enough. And when your visit is done, the receptionist, will ask you what percentage of your balance you're able to pay, sparing you any awkwardness of having to ask if they be willing to take a payment plan. For anyone who is not in the medical profession, dealing with medical professionals of any sort is often a very difficult circumstance because the doctor knows everything and we often know very little. Despite what we might research on WebMD or think we know frompast experiences, the doctor certainly has the upper hand and an unscrupulous medical professional will use that upper hand and whatever means they deem fit. They can do so in a number of ways, almost all of which they do in a means to an end of getting your money. This is not at all the case with Dr. Eyckmans. He is honest and will give you a straightforward assessment along with many options as well as his personal opinion regardless of which option is most or least expensive. He is first and foremost a human being like all of us and he understands that many times finances to play a role in the decision to remake and he always keep that in mind and he weighs the benefits in his cost analysis. Sometimes it is worth spending $1000 to repair a tooth rather than spend $300 for a small fix only to spend $300 year after year after year trying to do a temporary fix. But he will explain that to you and allow you to make a decision. There are so many bad dentist out there. He is truly a good dentist and an even better person. If you've been to very many different Dentist Office, you might reflect that his does not have all of the latest gadgets but what that means, is that you won't be paying a higher bill in order for him to be paying off those gadgets. I assure you he has all the essentials and then some. The x-rays or instant and he is always furthering his knowledge because there's not a visit that goes by wearing he's not telling me about a convention he intended fairly recently about new procedures and such. In fact sometimes you might wonder why he explains everything to you before he does it but if you ever had the opposite experience you will wonder at all. If the radius 1 to 10 stars, I would give them 10. 10 at the dentist, 10 as a person, and 10 for his staff who are some of the nicest ladies you will ever meet. No matter how nasty you get, because maybe you have a fear of dentists or maybe you are just mean, you will not push them to even close to a breaking point, the dental assistance in the receptionists are always smiling and attentive and in an emergency, they will always try to see you as soon as possible. And they won't charge you for that emergency surcharge either. I'm guessing that many of you who reads this have had at least one bad experience with the dentist and I'll probably never understand why such a high percentage of dentists turn out to be such bad people, but I'm not really concerned with understanding that. I'm just happy that A friend recommended Dr. Eyckmans and I have been seeing him ever since my first visit. I only wish I had known him for 10 years earlier because the string a bad dentist I've met along the way tell the chilling tale of evil and greedy people. Dr. Eyckmans is the opposite of any bad dentist you've ever met. I can recommend him in good faith because I've seen him many times and I have always been pleased with his work. If you are afraid to see a dentist because you are having financial problems or because perhaps you have let your dental hygiene laps and I are in barest, you should see Dr. Eyckmans, because he will not judge you and he will guide you without judgment. I only wish he had a twin brother who had gone into psychiatry. But for now I am just very very happy to have a dentist I can trust. I used to have a veterinarian I could trust but he recently retired and it is been a painstaking journey to replace him because everywhere I go it seems like all they care about is making money. I hope I expire before Dr. Eyckmans retires because I honestly don't know what I would do. If you are reading this Dr. Eyckmans or any of your staff I just would like to say thank you, because you go above and beyond what do you need to do. Your schedule book would be filled with appointments regardless of how you treat people because your prices are so reasonable and the work you perform is so confident so the fact you do it all with a smile And in such a safe and friendly environment is truly appreciated. read more
