I went here today to fill up. The attendant kept forcing more gas in and I told him to stop Then he couldn't even count or figure out my change. $28.60 and I gave him $40.60. - Simple right. Not. He disappeared inside for help but kept me waiting 15 minutes for my change. Then I went inside and the lady at the cash register was rude. All I wanted was my change and to get out of there. Even the manager was rude. I'd never go Back there ! Never. Stay away. Too many other stations in that area. read more

I went to Prospect Corner Exxon this afternoon to put air in one of my tires. I fed six quarters into the pump as required but the pump stopped working after five or ten seconds, which is not enough time to fill up a tire. I went into the convenience store associated with the gas station and asked for a refund. A man behind the counter refused but said I could get a refund by calling the phone number on the machine. I went back outside to get the number but there was none, so I went back inside and repeated my request for a refund. The man behind the counter told me to speak to one of the pump attendants, whom he indicated was the boss. I did this but the attendant/boss also refused to give me a refund with words to the effect that he would tear the air pump out of the ground before he would give me a refund. Needless to say, I will never go back to Prospect Corner Exxon. read more

Pulled up and waited 5 minutes, and attendant never came to my car (for those not from NJ, we can't pump our own gas- more on that later). Thought maybe the attendant was inside on this cold and rainy night, so I went inside. Asked the employee behind the counter where the attendant was- he said he must be outside. When I said no, his response was "how should I know?" My reply: "Because you work here!"'and walked out. As I walked back to my car, I saw the attendant was in the small booth, but so focused on his phone that he didn't notice me walking by. When I tapped on the glass to get his attention, he was clearly annoyed. While he did get out and walked toward my car, I decided that the double dose of bad attitude was enough, so I left. Now, when I first walked toward the store, another car pulled up to a different pump, and that driver did proceed to pump his own gas. His choice, but if the attendant were doing his job, the driver wouldn't have been able to do that. The gas prices here are comparable to other Exxons in the area. From now on, I'll go to the places that still value customer service. read more

Gas station attendant wouldn't give our card back, requesting a cash tip. He made us wait until we offered cash, and still gave us a little more trouble before giving our card back and letting us leave. read more

The workers here clearly don't like their job, they had a problem with almost every action put forth. It's just not fun to come back after a long day and get stared at and degraded for no reason...especially at a gas station. read more

If you are heading West from Montclair you will probably pass this Exxon. It's on the corner of Bloomfield and the road that takes you to Rt 280. It has 6 pumps, so 12 cars at a time. Plenty of room between pumps. Mid size convenience store with a DD too. 3 stars for this large chain. I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been there countless times trying to give it another chance- there's an older man with glasses that works there. He will literally just not come up to your car. I have no idea how he chooses which car he will help but it's really irritating to wait 10 mins to be helped for gas with two cars there and him not moving.... read more

less than one star. got $20 worth of gas and they withdrew $50, claiming the $30 was a pre authorization fee and I'll get that money back in a few business days. don't go here. Absolutely atrocious of a company to take more money then people request to be withdrawn and then not give it back for days. read more

One of the poorer stations in the area. About 15% of the time the guy is asleep and doesn't notice you pulling in. Watch the prices, premium can be significantly more than in other stations. Cash is cheaper, probably to avoid reporting to the IRS. read more

This was the worst experience i have ever had getting gas! DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE !!!! I pull up to get gas like i have at this station countless times and tell the guy to fill it regular, cash. He looks me up and down and than reaches for the pump. I proceeded inside to get a cup of coffee. BIG MISTAKE!!! I come back out and there is no nozzle in my car, the other guy out there comes up and says 10 dollars, I proceed to give him 10 dollars and notice that the pump reads 0.00 i question him and he says no it cleared. I asked him to wait with me while i start my car than i showed him i had received no gas!! i asked for my money back and He argues with me than tells me to go talk to the manager. As i walk back inside this kid puts the hose in my car and racks up 10 dollars !! the manager comes out and is now refusing to listen to me saying they put the 10 dollars in. i try and plead my case to him and he just throw me out says get the F@&$ out. I will never get gas here again! This was way too rehearsed! I call the guy out and he than quickly pumps 10 dollars in my car to make it look like he didn't just try and take my money ! read more
