It's also a fact that I can always count on Wawa to have all kinds of delicious convenient grab and go foods like Yogurts, Fresh Fruits, Salads, Snacks, and Baked Goods plus they can always make you anything you want as long as you're willing to wait for it. Early in the morning Service here is friendly and efficient both at the fuel pumps and inside the Store. Quick access to Route 280 in either direction so whenever in this part of Jerzey stopping in here is literally the easiest decision of my day. Wawa would you wanna FILL Up anywhere else? We desperately needed gas on Thanksgiving, which is obviously not an ideal situation. We called…read moreahead to see if this Speedway was open, and confirmed that we were on the way and would be there in 10 minutes. Literally 10 mins later we pulled up to a pump, and saw a guy step out of the office and lock the door. We figured he was coming out to fill our tank, but he just kept walking. He left! Even though we were sitting there at the pump, and had just called to book an appointment, more or less. Unbelievable. We tried calling again and again but there was no one inside, even though the lights were on. Either you're open for business, and you keep your word when you tell customers you'll be open when they arrive in 10 mins, or you're closed, in which case just say that, or don't even answer the phone. Wasting the 10 minute drive here meant that we really were in danger of running out of gas on the highway. The stupid thing was that we passed another place that looked open, and didn't go there, because I had promised this guy at Speedway that we were on the way and I didn't want to break my word to him by going somewhere else. That'll teach me to try to do the moral thing.

On this particular day, BP was charging $3.09 versus $3.15 at 7-Eleven. I noticed the 6 cent difference a few days later too, so it seems this will be my new gas spot. Then I got a job with a company car and because of the convenient location starting using them. Experience was typically adequate, nothing special. Until my last visit, a particularly cold January morning. It had snowed and I had just scraped off lots of snow and ice. I asked if he had windshield fluid to clean it off. He said no it freezes. Not true--there is a reason that wiper fluid still works in freezing temperatures. Anyway I didn't argue, but I did want to remove the remaining ice for better visibility. As soon as he saw me brushing off the windshield -- mind you this was just a minor bit of ice -- he ran over screaming at me to not do that! I keep this station clean! I asked him to stop yelling, that I understood English perfectly well. He repeated this bit about cleanliness. People, this is a gas station. We used to call them service stations because refilling gas was just one of the services they might provide. So they're charging on average more for the gas, and they're screaming at customers for performing the very thing that gas station customers arrive to have done. I shudder to think how this might have happened to a Mom with kids in the car or a young girl etc, simply for trying to ensure a safe driving experience. I'll never go there again, and I would not recommend that anyone else should either.
