Once you get out there are not many places to stop for fuel, snacks or to use the restroom. Stephen's Grocery and Hardware has a large selection of things from your basic C-Store items to some things for camping or minor household repair. The day we stopped there were numerous other customers in line making small purchases. NOTE: The restroom inside the store is locked and there is a sign saying for customer use only, so you have to make a purchase to get the key. I guess this is to stop the random tourist from coming in for a bathroom break. The restroom was clean and neat and worked on our stop. The prices of the C-Store items are much higher than what you will find in larger chain C-Stores but they probably pay a lot more buying in smaller quantity and there is not any competitor in the area.

There's a hardware section that will allow you to fix just about any basic emergency. There's a feed-store section too - if you have dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens (and we do! All of the above!), they've got you covered. There's also a gas station. Out front is all the normal stuff, with automatic pumps. Off to the side, you can get diesel and 100% gasoline (no ethanol or other additives). No credit card reader there, so you have to go inside, but nice to have. We're putting 100% in our two supercharged vehicles right now and my husband is sure it makes a difference. ;-)

I thought really, but then I was enticed to go in because of a fake cow under the price sign. I guess the question is why did that get me in the store lol. When I walked in I was impressed of the size, not Bucee big but much larger than it looks out side. It resembled the size of a Wawa. It was more organized than a Wawa. It has the massive fountain and slurrpee machine most new gas rations now have and the variety of snack were plentiful. The aisles were nice and wide. They had a massive walk-in beer cooler ( which they call the beer barn), but also a 8 foot craft beer cooler case. I never saw so many kinds of craft beer available at a gas station. The store was very clean and the bathrooms were modern, clean and spacious. They also have a restaurant Calloways in the gas station. I will review this separately, but it had ample seating and help at the counter. The best was the Gas was as cheap as Costco. I don't know if that will be always, but it was the day I went. I definitely will be going back to eat and get gas with great prices like that.

The shop was very clean, well organized and it looked like they had gotten a ton of new items and new storage to put up all their merchandise. So I am excited to come back and see what they have! They had the cutest candles in old fashioned mild containers, Christmas ornaments, tshirts, hoodies, and jewelry. They had food as well such as milk, eggs, butter and some pantry items like popcorn and noodles. Definitely a one stop shop! Must see! Wonderful customer service!

They even have a small cafe where they make fresh foods for breakfast & lunch. Anything from pizza to deli to diner type options. Consistently good food whatever you choose. Staff within the store, as well as, in the cafe have always been super friendly, helpful & willing to accommodate. Opens at 6 AM during the week & 7 AM on the weekends. 7 days a week. The only convenience store we go to in this area of Ellijay!

Prices were good! So many beautiful home good things, I wanted to take everything home!!! So clean and organized, the employees were so nice. The bathrooms were huge and immaculate. The BBQ. DAYUM.
