There was a bird dropping on my windshield. Instead of the attendant squeegeeing (is there such a word?) my whole windshield, he went inside... got some windex, and cleaned the crap off of my windshield. I was so impressed, I tried to give him a $5 tip and he wouldn't take it. He said it was too much. I literally had to fight with him to force him to take the tip. Very impressed!

They also have a little convenience store and small kiosks. Could have better sitting area. Auntie Anne's being redone and construction going on outside the building. It's hit or miss with the bustle here. I love rest stops for people watching, and this one is choice. A mix of elderly off of a tour bus, teenagers on sports teams, young couples in love as middle aged couples bickering on their road trip. I smile, knowing I fall right in the middle of all of it. Tried to go into the store to get my receipt but the door was locked and had a sign that said…read more"sorry - back in 2 minutes." I could see two men inside standing around and eating. No prob, everyone is entitled to a dinner break. After 10 minutes they still hadn't unlocked/opened the door. I knocked and one of them begrudgingly let me in. I told him my pump number and he handed me a receipt, acting like he was doing me a favor. After I got back to my car I saw that it wasn't my receipt. I went back for my receipt but they had relocked the door. I knocked again, they let me in, and I told them what happened. They were unapologetic and seemed irritated that I'd come back for the right receipt. I only went to Gulf because it wasn't crowded but the Shell station was. Now I know why. Never again.

They took my car into the bay and asked same oil as last visit and I said yes please then he asked if I needed anything else and I replied no thank you. I went inside to wait and the office worker tells me that the $49.99 oil change is no longer available and my only choices are the $79.99 or the $89.99. I politely told her no thank you I'm going to take my car elsewhere and she said oh you can't do that they already drained your oil. She ran into the bay and came back out to say that this time they'll do a one time only for $49.99. I waited until my car was done and my bill was paid to tell her she'll never see me again. I've also told a few of my friends about my experience and they won't be going back there either. Greed... the root of all evil.

E-85 available for those so inclined. You pay less per gallon, but in my experience that gallon doesn't get you as many miles as gasoline. The Owner (Jim) had his Mechanic pull all 4 tires and performed a thorough inspection and road test. Outcome of inspection revealed calipers had been "hanging" And had been cleaned of rust and lubed recently... Jim told me to come in 3,000 miles to replace rear rotors, as they are to thin to cut again, new brake pads. My cost 30 minutes of Labor versus $450 at Mavis. I'll be back in 3,000 miles.
