One of the better places to come and get gas in town, and one of my preferred stops, for all kinds of reasons. Lafayette gas is usually cheap - and this one is even cheaper than most. I'm sure we'll be back here in the future too. Moreover, it's a brand new gas station and probably the best place to find gas in Laftown, as everyone calls it. And by everyone I mean me.

It took $35.75. I went back in and the woman didn't remember me so I told her what pump I was on and she gave me my receipt but not my change so I said you still owe me $4.25. Then the woman got an attitude and accused me of being rude when all I did was ask for my change.

Good luck if you decide to try and wash your windows...the scrubby portion is torn all apart (or completely missing on one) and then when you try to wipe away the water you will discover the squeegee is all misshapen (on 3 of 3 I tried) so that it only swipes 69% of the wash - frustrating. Other than that it is a standard, non-descript gas station and convenience store. I didn't need to use the bathroom but I wouldn't expect the to be any place you'd want to willingly go based on the rest of the joint. Of note, I had to inform one guy who had just swiped his card that the entire hose to that particular gas pump was laying about 40 feet away since some idiot apparently drove off with it and ripped it out. They have two types of ice (cubed and crushed), every single imaginable flavor of soda your heart desires, Icees, coffee (hot and cold), donuts, sandwiches, hot dogs with all the fixings and froyo with every topping you can think of. It's a one stop shop. It's on busy Ambassador Caf, but it's easy to get in and out of. I was here this week to fill up with Diet Coke and accidently dropped my lid in the trash while changing my straw. I had a bit of a panic attack thinking "what the hell am I going to do with no lid?" It's sort of my most prized possession at the moment and was a gift from my dad, so... Thankfully a guy working the counter saw my mistake and saw the look on my face and walked over, pulled out the bag and found my lid and handed it to me. Without a word. Wanted to hug him, but didn't. I just thanked him profusely. So yes, I'll continue to return to this Racetrac and y'all should too. Oh, and by the way? That refill was on the house.

My dogs were eager to get out of the park and back to the car. And the door swinging IN pinched my poor dog's leg. He yelped in pain. Poor doggie! I hope they fix that. It shouldn't have a way to pinch a dog's foot or leg. The dog park was clean. And I loved the bench under the tree! Gas was good too.

Took the exit off I-10 to fuel the bus, this Love's Travel Stop is located just north of the…read moreinterstate and requires a short jog onto an access road to enter, not difficult but the access road is very rough with lots of potholes and uneven pavement so a very low speed approach is required unless you don't mind having your teeth rattled. The diesel fuel island was easy to access as well as the exit back onto the short service road and interstate. The fueling pump area was pretty well maintained and the staff was friendly although there was a wait at the fuel counter, it seems the staff has many more responsibilities on the truck stop side. Duson is a very rural area so there wasn't much traffic making this a great option - this definitely a fuel stop I'd use again in the future...

About an hour after that Reggie let me know my vehicle was ready. I told him that my ride was running late to drop me off and it would be after 5:00. Graciously, he offered to hide the keys and I could pick it up after hours and all of this before I even paid the bill!!!! Incredible customer service. My family will be using this shop from now on.
