We are in the process of refinancing our mortgage, and this company obtained our information through the credit bureau. Instead of verifying details with us directly, they decided to spam our employers -- using our names and even listing our mortgage balance! Our personal financial information is absolutely none of our employers' business. This is a complete invasion of privacy and extremely unprofessional. Even if we were interested in refinancing, we would never consider working with a company that handles sensitive information in such a careless and inappropriate way. read more

GO ELSEWHERE! Bad BUSINESS. They locked me into a loan at a rate and gave me the runaround for 45 days promising to close any day and then ignore you. After persistence they respond and say something happened and loan was "unlocked" and they can't do it. Contacted COO and he's been working it for the past month and still empty promises 3 months in. Nothing about their word is reliable. I am reporting them to the BBB and securing an attorney as I've recorded conversations and have all my text messages and emails from all parties involved. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY I am extremely disappointed in how things have been handled. They hounded me nonstop to sign up to lock in the interest rate. I had told them multiple times that I was not ready, but they told me I could pay the appraisal fee when I was ready. However they took the money out before I was even off the phone with them. When I asked about that they said they would look into it and that they didnt know that would happen. Then it was an oh well sorry it had to happen. They had me sign a "CD" closing document that did not match what I was originally told, but they just kept saying it was not final and would be closer when they got the appraisal. They hired Equity solutions to do the appraisal, and they have some of the worst reviews for under valuing a home which is what happened to me. No one has still contacted me to talk to me about any options or what is going to happen. I just keep being told let me check on that for you. I asked them for my appraisal fee back and I have gotten no responses to that. If they would have given my appraisal fee back I might not have left as bad of a review. I feel like I have been scammed by this company and the lack of caring is really disapointing. I hope my review warns people to look around at other companies and not to fall into a trap of lies by this company. read more

truly the biggest runaround I've ever witnessed. Extreme Loan promises they'll get you a Refi because "their the best". This was a waste of my time. when I could've been using it with another company. They won't answer text messages or emails once they know they can't do what they promised. They close super fast! Their team works non-traditional hours, so it is never difficult to get a hold of somebody after hours or on the weekends. These guys actually called the sellers with my realtor and got them to accept our offer on a home in Rochester Hills. They were very transparent and answered any question i had in a very timely fashion. We finished the mortgage before the sellers were even ready to close. Update I ended up losing my house after the extremely long process. Switched realtors and this time when I worked on getting the loan I worked with 2 companies. Xtreme Loans came out on top. This time it took me less than a month to close. Everybody had all focus on me getting this house. I was extremely upset about losing the first house but the second one was way bigger. Then after all the hard work they even was able to finally get me conventional loan instead of Fha which is what I originally wanted. So they definitely did a way better job this time. I am happy with my new house off the water. I am happy with the companies adamant service. read more

During the past year, I dealt with five lenders for mortgage or refinance. The first four all made significant mistakes, but Extreme Loans at First Savings Bank was the worst. The senior loan officer, Marsale, was not organized and did not communicate with his assistants. He repeatedly told me to send him information that I had already sent to them or even to him. We had a HELOC that was a lienholder and needed to be subordinated or removed from the title, but Extreme's loan officer, Sabrina, didn't understand what was needed well enough to instruct me. I closed the HELOC and the deed was recorded a week later showing that the HELOC lender had been removed. Three weeks after that, Extreme's senior loan officer maintained that the HELOC was still on the deed, He clearly didn't understand how the process should work, nor did the underwriters. I had to figure out how to prove to them that everything had already been done. At the beginning of this process, I reported our income to Extreme and they offered us a loan package. We accepted a 15-year loan with a lower interest rate than we could get for a 30-year loan. Two months later, Marsale said that we didn't show enough income for that package and that they would need to change us to a 30-year loan. Knowing from the options that he had given us at the beginning that a longer loan demands a higher interest, I asked what the terms would be, and he said, "Oh, about the same, I think." He ended up saying that he'd email me the terms, but he didn't. I got no phone calls, messages, or emails after that. I finally found a competent lender. I highly recommend Debra Basile at Finance of America. We closed on a refi with better terms in less than a month, without all the mistakes, stress, and headaches I got for more than two months from Extreme Loans. read more
