I wasn't in a hurry, so I didn't mind checking out some of the backroads I've never been on before. It's always an adventure. This led to me this AMPM because I wanted a cherry slushie. Call me weird, but it's my drink of choice while traveling when it's hot outside. I pulled in and found parking to be easy. I thought about getting gas, but I was fine. Walking inside, I saw a pretty good line. I decided I was also hungry and usually like AMPM's hot food. However, this Sunday afternoon didn't look good. They were either out of a lot of items or just didn't make them that day. Also, there's entire fountain soda machine was out of order. Luckily, I wasn't in the mood for a soda, but I was still hungry and didn't want sweets. I got my slushie and went to wait in the line for the cashier. There was a sign that said where the line starts, but people were still confused and standing in random places. One guy appeared to cut in the line, but was actually paying for gas in advance, so I guess that's OK. I did grab a cold turkey sub to help satisfy my need for a little protein. The good news is the line actually moved pretty fast. The cashier was extremely friendly and efficient. Getting back to my car, opening the turkey sandwich was a bit of challenge as the plastic just came off around the edges. I eventually just took my car key and jammed it in there to break the seal. I did thoroughly enjoy the cherry slushie though!

They are utilizing false advertisement and deceptive marketing tactics. Essentially a bait and switch. I came and ask for their $5.99 Chicken sandwich and wedges special. They said it was only for the sandwich. I proceeded to show them their store location on the website and what it specifically said, the lady Clerk looked puzzled and went back and forth with me trying to tell me that's not what it says on the website. I read it to her slowly and she walked away until another gentleman to help me. I spoke and showed him and he told me they don't do that and I would need to speak to the owner. The other location on Ramona Expressway off of the 215 also doesn't honor it but it's on the website also. I rarely eat there but I'll just stick to Popeyes because these business practices are unfair to the communities especially the locations and low income areas.
