Convenience store had a good selection of snacks and drinks and I was able to find the brand and size of water I prefer. Cashier was friendly and professional. We were lucky to be just outside of town and managed to limp the car into Jim's Service Center. I checked the oil and it was really low, so I went inside to buy a couple quarts. Luis stepped forward and assisted me with the oil, even putting it into the car's engine, so I didn't have to get dirty doing it myself. Unfortunately, the engine warning light stayed on, so we left the car onsite so John (mechanic) could check it out the next day. John called us the next afternoon and said that he looked at it, but they didn't have the correct analysis equipment to read our Kia's engine malfunction code. He suggested a couple other shops in town. Unfortunately, they were booked up for several weeks. We made arrangements to have the car towed down to the Kia dealership in Ventura (see review for Kirby Kia of Ventura, CA). Jim's allowed us to leave the car there until the next afternoon when the tow service was available. John was very upfront and honest. Didn't even charge us for the time it took him to do the initial analysis to find out what the issue was. You always hear about auto mechanic shops taking advantage of people. I just can't express how impressed I am with the professionalism, courtesy, and honesty of the Service Center's team. I only wish they were in my neighborhood, so if I need any future assistance with our vehicles, they'd be there to help.
