My experience has been the opposite of theirs, and we are now actively seeking alternative options. During an unexpected job loss, I was late a few times and always communicated my situation. Despite that, I was repeatedly charged a $25 late fee based on the wrong due date. My rental begins on the 19th, yet I was billed as if payment was due on the 1st.It didn't stop there. My rental agreement disappeared from my online profile, along with the correct payment history. A few months ago, I discovered my belongings had been scheduled for auction -- without receiving any of the legally required notices. The auction was only reversed after I complained. Most recently, my monthly rate was increased by 10% with no written notice, even though the facility clearly has my email and has used it before.Missing contract records, incorrect payment history, improper late fees, a rent increase with no notice, and an auction scheduled without legally required communication -- this is a pattern, not an accident. Acorn Storage Port Orange has serious issues with transparency, record‑keeping, and compliance. Customers deserve better.

THEY WILL NOT REVIEW THEY'RE ON SECURITY VIDEO OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR LAST ACCESS OF GATE NOR WILL THEY CHECK THE CALLS THEY SUPPOSEDLY MONITOR FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE TO PROVE THE CUSTOMER IS TELLING THE TRUTH!!! OR TO PROVE MULTIPLE CALLS WERE MADE!!! I requested a climate control unit FROM THE START I WAS TOLD THIS UNIT WAS CLIMATE CONTROL which I did not get. I reported a LIVE RAT crawling on my furniture in the unit or perhaps it was a large mouse I wasn't going to ask it.I called Noelle 3 weeks before moving ..then again 2 weeks before moving .then 1 week before moving the day of moving and the day after..no follow up call was made to let me know if the problem had been resolved...I saw no traps I left 12 message spoke with Noelle and Courtney to tell them my intent to move out on June 29th three weeks prior to moving . I have not accessed property since june 29th yet they have not called sent a bill left a message nothing I even had Miriam try to call ftom old kings road public storage to confirm with no response to her call..to let them know I moved out..MY HUSBAND IS DYING!!!..I took photos of unit that it was clean when I left to which they said I was still occupying it August 9th? Because boxes were in it?? so then I said to Yolanda you can check gate codes or security video to verify I had todds moving company there that day DOES THAT NOT SAY IM MOVING OUT TOO,? Then Yolanda said we'll then you left trash in it ? Either im not movedbout or trash was left in it so your going to charge me 2 months rent for trash i didnt eave in it with no courtesy call to say hey you left trash in the unit? They have a superior model of how to treat seniors and have a clean well run facility. They either answer the phone or call immediately or back within minutes
