THEY ARE NOT HONEST DO RETURN CALLS AND WILL NOT LISTEN WHEN YOU SAY YOU ARE MOVING OUT AND CONTINUE TO BILL YOU!! THEY WILL NOT REVIEW THEY'RE ON SECURITY VIDEO OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR LAST ACCESS OF GATE NOR WILL THEY CHECK THE CALLS THEY SUPPOSEDLY MONITOR FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE TO PROVE THE CUSTOMER IS TELLING THE TRUTH!!! OR TO PROVE MULTIPLE CALLS WERE MADE!!! I requested a climate control unit FROM THE START I WAS TOLD THIS UNIT WAS CLIMATE CONTROL which I did not get. I reported a LIVE RAT crawling on my furniture in the unit or perhaps it was a large mouse I wasn't going to ask it.I called Noelle 3 weeks before moving ..then again 2 weeks before moving .then 1 week before moving the day of moving and the day after..no follow up call was made to let me know if the problem had been resolved...I saw no traps I left 12 message spoke with Noelle and Courtney to tell them my intent to move out on June 29th three weeks prior to moving . I have not accessed property since june 29th yet they have not called sent a bill left a message nothing I even had Miriam try to call ftom old kings road public storage to confirm with no response to her call..to let them know I moved out..MY HUSBAND IS DYING!!!..I took photos of unit that it was clean when I left to which they said I was still occupying it August 9th? Because boxes were in it?? so then I said to Yolanda you can check gate codes or security video to verify I had todds moving company there that day DOES THAT NOT SAY IM MOVING OUT TOO,? Then Yolanda said we'll then you left trash in it ? Either im not movedbout or trash was left in it so your going to charge me 2 months rent for trash i didnt eave in it with no courtesy call to say hey you left trash in the unit? None of it makes any sense.THEY ARE NOT SENIOR CITIZEN FRIENDLY! You better have a lawyer ,A notary , and maybe 4 witnesses present when dealing with these dishonest price gouging dismissive people..because they will not respond will to your calls or return calls I have my phone records .They are not honest.I paid begrudgingly because I don't want to have bad credit and thought I'd be able to speak someone. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people in my life they have some nerve. Again take witnesses with you and don't break your phone or delete photos of your clean unit leaving because they will continue to bill your credit card the reason the only reason they didnt do this to me is I had to replace mine AGAIN TAKE SEVERAL WITNESSES WHEN MOVING OUT! TAKE PHOTOS GET STATEMENTS FROM WITNESSES ! Maybe show up but no one is seldom on site...they dont n inform you of this when you sign up THINK BEFORE YOU DARE STORE YOUR THINGS HERE !! GUTTERS ARE CLOGGED WITH ACTUALLY GRASS AND TREES GROWING OUT OF THEM..THE CLEANING LADY STACY? OR STELLA? WAS VERY NICE BUT VERY OVER WHELMED!! COVER YOUR BACK!! IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS I B WOULD! I went to the site August 23rd 2024 to slip a handwritten note under the door in a attempt to contact the manager I was on all fours trying to slip note under the door on Friday as Yolanda was exiting around 3pm she said she call Josh the manager and give him the note which contained my phone number after I showed yolanda a live video feed of my husband gasping for air from his hospital bed..No phone calls have been received to address my issues.Im taking down a photo of my husband I left on this site Public storage on Old Kings Road in Daytona Beach is Superior with Human contacts and have treated me kind. Yolanda was amazing and went above and beyond to help me out. The other attendant was sweeping and cleaning outside. Despite the mess people left when moving out, these two worked hard at trying to make the place look nice. I did feel sorry for them as the golf cart was not working and they had a lot of ground to keep up with! read more

Just DON'T- You will NEVER be able to get ahold of an actual human, your access to the gate is not very reliable and on top of all of that they just raised my rate by $50.00 a month so that teaser rate online is only good for a couple of months. I would encourage you to go anywhere except Public Storage if you value your valuables. I have received letters saying my unit was damaged from hurricane so I went there to meet with them and inspect and all was ok so I signed off, then I received another letter saying they would empty my unit if I didn't go there... so AGAIN, I went there and they were like, oh you were here allready? Um, ya. Just NOT organized or even caring about your stuff, they ONLY thing they care about is if you make your payment. Trust me, Don't put your stuff here. read more

if you love rats..and their poop...public storage is the place to go!! we had to move out. do not recommend. we moved out on the 3rd of april,2021 and they charged us for the entire month...$200! i had to pick a star to proceed with this review but we really give this place a zero stars!!! bad management and filthy disgusting conditions! note to management: your rat traps outside of the units do not work!! might want to look into a different solution!! read more

If you don't mind your rent going up every year, then rent from Public Storage. I have a 10 x 30 unit and every year on my anniversary date, the rent increases about $30. I'm now paying just under $400 per month. They offer incentives to bring in new business but stick it to their long time customers read more

Rats rats and more rats. My temperature controlled storage unit is not only filled with my things but is now filled with rat poop. I was mortified when I checked on my storage unit to find that it had now become one giant liter box. I found rat positioning in my storage unit without being notified of the problem. I will think twice before purchasing another storage unit with Public Storage. I am currently going through insurance claims. read more

I am more than happy to tell you why I did not rent the storage unit as I will be telling everyone! I was given a price on the phone. When I arrived the price was confirmed. Then I was shown the property and told that I MUST buy a $19 lock. Then I ask are there any more surprises, I was told there's $11 monthly insurance that I also MUST purchase. Fool me once fine. I was going to buy the $19 lock. Fool me twice? I'm not gonna keep paying for your add-ons as this was a shady practice, this was misinformation, this was not good business. I simply decided to clean out a closet at home and save myself the $101 per month. I would also like to reiterate that was not about the money. All of the competing units I had thought of were $120+ a month and I was willing to pay that. The only reason I came to you was that you were open on a Sunday and the other locations were not. RATS AND MICE, RATS AND MICE EVERYWHERE I rented a unit in November 2017. i bought the storage insurance to cover me for $3000 and was told it covers any problems at all. i went to empty my unit in march 2018 and found a large family of mice living in my belongings. i told the office of this and they said call the insurance company you are covered. i did this and was told by the insurance company that i was only covered for $250 for vermin damage. i have over $5000 in losses. all my furniture all my cloths, shoes, sheets, towels, curtains, mattresses and so much more. the mice even chewed the wires in my new washer and dryer. i have spent hundreds in days off cleaning all the piss and shit off of the things i could salvage. i was lied to and lost 80% of my storage items. i have a new home and nothing in it. it will take years to replace everything and the smell just wont go away. i feel i will have to buy all new belongings. Anne was EXTREMELY helpful and gave us wonderful service!!! Very helpful, pleasant, quick & efficient. She was very thorough and explained all the details. Only negative thing I have to say is when I called the corporate number to reserve the unit they failed to tell me about the mandatory insurance which would be added to the cost. Anne was very helpful in explaining the details and why they require it but I don't think it should be mandatory if a waiver is signed that releases them from liability. But the actual location and the employees that were there were really great! Definitely would recommend it. Very clean and well maintained property. read more
