The Storage Center lists their origin as "Established in 2021", which is true to the sale of the facility. Originally this establishment was locally owned and operated as Shepherd Self Storage. I never had any issue with Shepherd Self Storage. Since The Storage Center took over operation of the facility service has declined and the cost of my unit has gone from $70/month to $132/month. My unit has been broken into twice since 2021. The lanes between the buildings are narrow and frequently blocked by other tenants accessing their units. There are lots of other places out there and I wouldn't recommend The Storage Center.

Also, they advertise the first month for $1, but when I got there the free month is the second month, but you still must pay $15 insurance plus tax on the free rent month. So, your actual monthly fee is $44 plus $15 insurance plus tax for a total of $64.27 per month instead of $44. So, if you don't want to get suckered into paying and extra $63.63 to get the storage unit and an extra $20.27 per month than advertised. This place will sucker you good. Stay away from "Public Storage".

Specifically, I was looking for a storage facility that would accept packages and place them in my unit for me. Disco! (Credit where credit is due: Yelp Intern Chris found this place for us after researching many options.) When we went earlier this week to check it out, Mike, the property manager, could not have been nicer. He mans the front office, lives on the premises and oversees the property at night. The also pay a separate security firm to make nightly patrols of the property. Every morning, they post the security report from the night before on the desk in the office. It's a small but thoughtful touch, especially when you're trying to decide if this is the right place for your things. The front office is spic and span, as are the hallways and units. The hallways and units are cleaned daily, the grounds are maintained weekly, and pests are exterminated monthly. Everything we saw looked perfect, and I felt totally comfortable leaving my things there.
