I started with paying $70 a month plus a forced insurance of $10 extra a month. 4 months later I was broken into and insurance that they forced me to get payed out nothing. I have a 10 x 10 climate control that continues to go up in price. I now have received another price increase to $177 dollars and I did finally get the insurance taken off only for the last 3 months. They know they have you and continue to increase the price with no regards to your first agreement. This increase has happened from Jan 21-May 23. Nothing has really been truly improved a few added features but nothing to validate a 152.85% increase. I got scammed please you all take my advice and find a more reputable company to store your goods. Oh and side note if you are a new tenant it is only a $101 for my same unit.

I decided to drop by Extra Space Storage. This is a big step for us packrats, you know; don't judge me . As I entered, I was immediately greeted by Rita. She's such a lovely lady. But don't tell anyone I said so. My wife might not approve haha. Anyway, she was very knowledgeable. Any questions I asked regarding storage units, pricing and contractual obligation, she answered directly and upfront. It gave me the impression that I wouldn't need to worry about hidden costs and billing surprises. I also met Nikki, with whom Rita was working. They were both a delight and complimented each other. What a team! It was like they fed off of each other's energy. Rita was helpful in one matter and Nikki chimed in on the side. Nikki was helpful in another matter and Rita chimed in on the side. They were a sort of dynamic duo. I actually felt kind of bad, because at the end of day, my attachment to my property overcame my sought to store it anywhere but home. As a result, I did not proceed with getting a unit at Extra Space Storage. However, their customer service is impeccable, especially Rita. She's very personable, and I have no doubt that should I ever break my attachment to sentimental things, she would be my next call. Apparently it was the only one they had in the size we needed. They offered a smaller truck for a discount (meaning we needed to make multiple trips to our new home). Not a good experience. Thanks for making a stressful day even worse.
