Thirdly, they sure chat up with my hubby. Hmmm, more time, more money. The time sure stretched out. Finally, that I know of right now, they put boxes wherever! I clearly had each box marked as to which room it goes. They would also ask me, I finally started saying "what's the box say?" Moving is stressful as it is, I would know, I've done it every two years most of my life (military). This was pretty stressful. I also tipped generously because I know moving "stuff" is not easy. When I move again, because I get restless in one place, I may have to find a different moving company.

Adjustable bed they moved is now lifting up on side so it's no longer stable, dining room table wasn't fully secured with the screws but they did an amazing job moving my furniture from the old house upstairs to down without messing up the walls too much. I ended up paying $930 for a 5 hour move spanning about 7 miles apart from one another. Needless to say I'm disappointed. We had 3 bedrooms and a full living room set, a dining room table and a grill. Beware of current pricing as the prices increased significantly per hour from my original quote from the owner. Turns out not everything did fit - about 20 boxes had to be left along with several loose items (step stool, vacuum, etc.). I am having to make a return trip to Florida with a rental truck to go get the remainder of our items. I called the company and asked for the owner to call me regarding this situation, and I never received a phone call. It is costing me money out of my pocket: a hotel room, gas, and my time to go get the stuff that they assured me would fit in the truck. It was a definite gross miscalculation on the owner's part. In addition, we sold two large dressers and an ornate saddle that we said we're going on the truck so we should have freed up quite a bit of room and it still didn't fit. (We did not add anything to the move once the estimate had been done.) The next issue was with the deposit - after the owner came and gave us the estimate, he asked me to stop by the office with a credit card to pay for 50% of the move. I went to the office and my credit card was declined twice - no idea why. At this point, I wrote them a check. When I returned home, I called the credit card company who assured me that the charges did indeed go through, and I was given authorization numbers for the charges. They said the charges absolutely did not go through, but as soon as I got my credit card statement, I looked and sure enough, we had been overcharged twice as the two charges did go through. The way this was handled seemed very much like a scam. Company did refund us for the amount of $3000 - the money came out even in the end. The good things I have to say are that everyone in the office is extremely nice and things were addressed in a timely professional manner. The people that actually physically moved us were wonderful and were compensated generously for the hard work that they did - they sent a good moving crew.

On Feb 3rd, 2026 I hired two men and a truck. I had actually hired them previously but the closing…read moreon my new place was delayed. I was told that the hourly rate would be more then originally quoted but have never received my bill to know just exactly how much I was charged per hour. I had more furniture then originally anticipated and I accept that as a failure on my part. These men wrapped almost every item of furniture yet still managed to break stuff. One guy picked up my tool chest, after I stated that it was heavy, didn't wrap it just walked away. This item was badly broken upon inspection at the end of the move; I can only guess from being dropped. I did also have a small shoe shelf that a piece was missing from; with it being a plastic part I was unable to repair it. I've found many chips and broken parts in my stuff since, none that really effect functionality one such item is an antique custom built cabinet that is irreplaceable. These men, one in particular tried to push their way into doorways, causing damage to the corners and even took out a big piece of paint on my kitchen cuboard and a chunk from my counters; I hadn't even complained about that. I did however complain about the supervisor that showed up and took up the one guy that knew the mosts time for about 1/2 hour; I was fully charged for this time and quite frankly I want that money back! They never responded to my first correspondence and then tried to tell me to keep the toolbox for them to come and asses, but didn't send that email for over 2 weeks so it was long gone. Their sheer lack of accountability and excesive charges is why I filed a BBB complaint. Theyoffered a refund of 37.00 will cover my broken items and told me that I should have purchased additional insurance, EXCUSE ME!! I 've only asked that 1/2 hour credited back and reimbursment for the toolchest that I've had to purchase. I've filed a complaint, but that has gotten no where as they've not acknowledged it.

I'm sure that it's because they don't want to talk to actual people about the absolutely horrible service they provide. I filed a claim in September, followed up on it about a month later only to be told that it was delayed because they were still looking for the package. Needless to say I was extremely upset. I was finally able to get to someone who promised me that they would escalate my inquiry. That was two months ago and I have not heard from them. I tried to contact them today only to get a total run around. Their automated system said that the claim was denied although I haven't received any communication from FedEx whatsoever. No matter what I try I am unable to get to a live person. The claim was for one box out a five piece shipment. The five boxes made up one total item that I was returning. Because one box didn't make it I couldn't receive a refund for the return of the item. Now I am out not only the cost of the item (the return window closed) and the cost of shipping an item that never made it!! How does that seem reasonable? If I could rate FedEx lower than not good I would do it in a heartbeat
