I had to share my experience, because this company did exactly what every relocator's WORST…read morenightmare is. I found them on unpakt.com, called them, and found them to be very helpful and able to accommodate my needs. It was a comfortable 3-4 weeks before our move. We were happy. Then, out of nowhere, 12 days before our move, we get an email that they canceled our move. No phone call, no nothing. Just an email. So, I call them -- and was promptly reassured that the cancellation was a clerical error ("I think my secretary cancelled you by accident"), and that he would get back to me. Saturday comes and goes, no call back. So I call Sunday just to check in, and am told that he is out of the office until Monday morning, but he will be back in the office by 9am and will call me first thing in the morning. I confirm that he knows my name, he tells me he doesn't need a phone number, recites the details for my move -- all in all, I'm feeling confident. Monday, 3pm, no call. So I call him and am sent to voicemail (for the first time) and leave a message explaining that I would REALLY love to hear back, given it's roughly 9 days before our move at this point. Monday, 8pm, no call. It is now Tuesday, 6pm -- still no call. Because of this "clerical error", and frustrating inability to return my REPEATED calls, we were forced to book with a different company -- after going through a number of other companies who were booked by this point. This company jeopardized my entire move, and they STILL have not called to apologize or rectify the situation. They delayed my booking a company that actually DOES want my business by 3 days during a peak season and less than 2 weeks before our move. This was the opposite of reliability. Highly, HIGHLY discouraging.

My Dewitt coordinator, Gloria was the contact up until day of arrival and then three gentlemen arrived around 10:30 and finished around 11:30. Upon entry they rolled out a blue carpet so their didn't harm the wood flooring. They handed me the inventory list full of numbers and was instructed to check them off as they bring stuff in the door. I don't know how they were so efficient getting stuff up but one by one the items got marked off. They unwrapped furniture and boxes I was able to empty right away as they included large items. At the end the gentleman went through all the paperwork and had me sign then they packed away their stuff and rolled up the blue carpet and left. Overall I had a really good experience throughout the process and and appreciative everything arrived in one piece.

I was quoted a little over $3,000.00 for a move from Melbourne Florida to Glen Burnie MD. Since it was based on a quick observation, I decided to be dilligent, and to provide a video walk through in order to get a more accurate quote. This consisted of 12 area videos with voiceover describing every article of furniture with information regarding what to expect in the way of boxes from that area. I was then quoted close to $9,000.00. This amount seemed reasonable based on the more accurate inventory. Today, we were called by their QUALITY CONTROL AGENT. At this time we went through a detailed inventory which we had taken an enoumous amount of time to create, wrapping things and filling boxes. Despite the fact that RE were sent detailed videos of our inventory. This conversation resulted in an increased moving cost of $15.253.62. The explanation we were informed was as follows: I have never spoken to you before. You have only spoken thus far to a SALES AGENT. We received this information just 3 days before the move, so as a consequence we were given no alternative but to agree with the new price and the demand for an additional $5,000.00 up front Bottom line, which I will make sure everyone is made aware of. When dealing with Relocation Express you will be dealing with a SALES AGENT who will real you in with a lowball price. Then 3 days before your move when you are trapped. You will be called by a QUALITY CONTROL AGENT who will inform you that you move will cost almost 5 times as much as your first quote, 2 times as much as your second quote. BUYER BEWARE and make sure you have an additional 5k to 10k on hand to pay for the new price upfront payment.

Having moved around a good bit over the past decade, I can say the losses have been more frequent…read morethan the wins. Working with Victory was truly a win, as they helped me with multiple international and corporate moves while providing excellent service and communication (#1) the whole way. They were a full service moving company, which meant they helped with the packing process in addition to moving my things. They were punctual for my appointments and brought more packing materials (tape, cardboard, stuffing, etc.) than I really needed it. The fact they also specialize in packing fine art and antiques, I can completely understand why my things were treated with such care. They did an outstanding job in sealing everything off and were incredibly organized all around. While I didn't have much to move (#2), the entire process from start to finish was a breeze. Corporate moves and international relocation means that this is not going to be that affordable as a service. I would elect to use them every time if I could, but alas, their service is among the best I've experienced over the years. Sometimes the anxiety and stress of moving is mitigated by a company that knows what they're doing.
