My time there was short, while in transition, but whatever my concern or question was, the manager there in Kona (her name escapes me but I will revise this review when I remember it) was more than glad and able to help. Wonderful human being, she is. Oh, did I mention My Self Storage is different? It's the people.

Everyone was super helpful and easy to work with. The place is clean, well maintained and feels secure, unlike other facilities I found. I moved from another facility that had so many homeless in it that I did not feel safe. My Self Storage Space Kailua is conveniently located directly across from Costco. It is by far the best storage facility I have found in all of Kona.

It's not cheap but I can say it's super clean and they maintain it well, had no issues with bugs and that's my biggest concern! I can sit there and go thru files and it's gated safe for me to be there by myself and Will does his checks so it makes me feel like hey someone knows I'm here! Our company has a storage unit on property but leased with the previous owners/management company before Extra Space took over. I'm usually concerned about management changes but this time they went from great to excellent. He did a fantastic job of helping explain the paperwork, the pros and cons of each unit, and really made it clear and put forth honest effort to show that as a customer I was his #1 priority. We talked about many different parts of the facility and it's very clear he takes his job and customer satisfaction seriously. He went above and beyond what I would expect and really deserves five stars. I'd give more stars if I could. He's really that good.

While we were there, they broke into our locker to change the locks, and threw their garbage on the ground. Didn't bother to notify us that they were going to crack our space open, and didn't care to clean up after themselves. When we called to have them open our locker so we could access it, they were rude & acted like we were hassling them-- this after making us wait for over a half an hour in the Kona heat. They lock their dumpsters, block the driveways with their own personal vehicles and don't do anything about the severe RAT infestation they have there. We had to dump so much of our things because they were chewed up and/or defecated on by dirty disease carrying RATS. Disgusting and totally defeats the whole purpose of having a space to store and protect your personal belongings! Not happy, which is why we closed our unit down and moved elsewhere. You can try and take your chances with them though. Good luck.

It entailed the contents of a two-story, 3-br townhome with some heavy, bulky upper and lower lanai stuff (all the large items - we would handle all the kitchen, bathroom, and pantry items) going to a smaller house Regina and staff worked with us, and when the 29th became problematic for us, they were able to shift the move date to May 1st, which helped us tremendously. The three young but surprisingly strong movers - Jason and two polite chaps - showed up on time (8:30 am) and, after an orienting walk-through, they went to work in a very expeditious manner. They were able to fit everything into the truck for one trip about 2.5 miles to the other house. They positioned the 3 disassembled bedsets, two couch sectionals, three roller racks of tubs, a large, very heavy dining room table, four other smaller tables and many other items in short order where we wanted them, and the move was concluded in 4.25 hours - well under the estimated time on the contract and for less than the quotes from the other movers that were available. We were very impressed by how hard and consistently they worked and their professional, engaging, and positive demeanors, given the exertion required. We will surely seek out Royal Hawaiian for any future moves on the Big Island.

Being that I had (5) boxes of broken parts I needed to send back state side, this UPS Store sure was a lifesaver! As I walked into the store I asked one of the clerks if I could borrow a hand truck, that way I could load up all my (5) boxes & bring it into the store one crack! I must say the staff here was friendly, and more than accommodating. The service here was efficient, as the clerk processed my (5) boxes quickly. One of my boxes wasn't packed up yet, as I ran out of shipping tape, but the nice thing about coming to this UPS Store is that they sold shipping supplies. I purchased a small roll of shipping tape, and I gotta say it was sorta pricey, but the convenience factor reflects the price you pay here. If I'm working in Waimea again, it's nice to know that there's a UPS Store here, that way it saves me a trip from having to go down to Kailua-Kona, or to Pahoa town.

Her coworker Parker (also not a local) then chimed in and wouldn't stop until he told me to leave a review about their great customer service & I said I will once he gave me his name. I had to ask for it 3 times & then he finally quit his comments. When this location originally opened it was nice & helpful.
