Two Men & A Truck cancelled my move at the last minute having already commenced the move, because…read moreone of the Removalists was "scared" of my dog who was on the balcony contained. They were late to begin with, and were moving incredibly slowly. After nearly an hour of continually asking, "what can we do to make you feel safe? Do you want us to have the dog (who is not at all a threat) removed entirely from the apartment"; they refused to tell us what they needed to feel safe as grown men; they lied to their supervisor stating our dog bit one of them (but then we have them on recording admitting that the dog did not bite them), and after asking dozens of times, they refused to answer with a mature, clear or professional response that was helpful to resolving the situation. Our current building security also attempted to negotiate with them and they also lied stating that security in our building were "not giving them their tools" when security had absolutely nothing to do with, nor had any access to their tools. We have only today to move, and are flying interstate tomorrow. The new person is moving in tomorrow and so the domino effect of issues they caused is unbelievably inconvenient to many. They caused tremendous inconveniences to not just us, but they dumped and left our belongings in the building. After having moved before, this is by far the most immature, pathetic, childish, non resolute focused situation we've ever been in. We lost our window for the service elevator, we had to rebook the service elevator in the other building and EVERYTHING is on voice note recorded as evidence that the two Removalists lied to their own supervisor regarding the details of this move, which wasted several hours of our time. DO NOT BOOK; as they DO NOT care about the truth of any situation; they do not CARE about your move, or surrounding circumstances and Two Men do NOT care about clear evidence. All over a "dog" that was contained and not even remotely a threat. Absolute nightmare; we will NEVER use or recommend this business ever again.

Very disappointing experience with Two Men and a Truck…read more The movers knocked my TV off the wall and said nothing -- I had to question them to get the truth. That alone is unacceptable. They also scratched my floor and never mentioned it, which I only discovered after they left and had to report myself -- something that could have impacted the sale of my property. While they did repair the floor, that doesn't excuse the lack of honesty and care. To make matters worse, they hid behind their contract and offered a $25 payout for a TV that cost well over $100, instead of taking real responsibility. After my last message raising additional concerns, they've now stopped responding completely. Careless, dishonest, and no accountability. I would not trust this company in my home.

This was our third local move with Two Men & A Truck, and we hired them again because our previous…read moreexperiences had been excellent. Unfortunately, this move was handled very differently. Our move included a dining room set and a baby grand piano. When the crew reached the piano, they realized they didn't have the proper tools to remove the legs. They called for assistance, but the second set of tools didn't work either. After time continued to run, we were told the piano would have to be rescheduled because the crew needed to get to their next job. We paid $666 of an approximately $800 quoted move, yet the piano wasn't moved. Later that day, the company sent a new estimate of $450 to move only the piano. Although they waived the travel fee, they still expected us to pay additional labor costs resulting from their own lack of preparation. I contacted customer service several times and even offered to split the additional cost. There was no flexibility and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience of having to rearrange our schedules for a second appointment. The movers were courteous throughout the process, so my disappointment is with management's response--not the crew. Mistakes happen, but how a company resolves them matters. In this case, I don't believe a loyal, repeat customer was treated fairly. Unfortunately, after three moves with this company, I won't be using them again.

They worked quickly and very well together so that the job was done in half the time I was quoted! So I saved about $300 that way. I tipped them handsomely as I felt they truly deserved it. I have moved a lot in my life (unfortunately) and used companies that claim to have the best rates, but you get what you pay for. My items were handled with the utmost care, even though some of the smaller furniture items were falling apart. I would recommend them to anyone and EVERYONE I know.

All of those prior moves would have received five stars for their reviews - professional movers who were always faster than their estimates. This move deserves zero stars. First move for me where I needed to store my stuff for a week in between houses. No clear explanation that the estimate I received was for only the first half of the move. Final bill was FOUR times the amount I paid for my last move. You may understand your method of operating but your customers don't do this on a daily basis. Care enough about them to make sure they completely understand how much they owe before the move. Movers were not the quick and careful movers of before. Plus I had to argue with the movers for several minutes when they finally got to my new house that they could NOT block my neighbor's driveway. The computer monitors they packed for me came out scratched because they were wrapped with the end of the cord against the screens. Constantly asked, "where does this go?" without removing the wrap around the furniture. Sorry, but I don't have x-ray eyes. Needless to say, I will NOT use Two Men & a Truck in the future.

They didn't do much talking -- just got right down to wrapping items and putting them in the truck. They followed me to the first stop to drop off one item, and then to the second floor storage unit. They did a great job there as well. When setting this up, I spoke with Carla in the office. I had several emails and calls with her following the initial call, and I really appreciated her help and humor. I was totally pleased.
