The employee that day was an hour late to work. We called the emergency number. It took maintenance 2 hours to arrive with bolt cutters to remove the unauthorized lock. All the while we had movers just sitting there that we had to pay by the hour. No apologies, no reimbursements, no nothing but attitude. Local management never returned any of my calls and corporate wasn't much better. I'll never use or recommend this place again which is sad because the beginning was so great.

Hunter was able to single-handedly take the stress of relocating to a new city, down several notches. The next day, she even phoned to see if I had any follow-up questions and provided a resource for moving help should I need some extra muscle to help unload my Pod. Employees like Hunter are the thing that separate the Space Shop Self Storage from the universe of mediocre, run-of-the-mill storage facilities. My fiancé and I drove to the new location and waited for about 30/40 minutes in another line only to find out that there was no truck there reserved for us like promised by worker Bryce. One of the workers at the new location even commented on Bryce being less then stellar in the past as well and making mistakes like this in attempts to rush people out of the store. Now any other store remotely near us will be closing soon, so essentially we drove 3 hours from Atlanta to just drive right back and have to come back all the way to South Carolina again to help our family member move. I signed up online because that was the best deal versus signing up in store. After completing that, everything else was super simple. They sent me the agreement in my email, I signed and then walked in on my lunch break to do whatever else they needed to. The gentleman inside was super nice and helpful. He helped me set up my autopay so I don't forget and double checked my lock code. I've been few times and had no issues accessing my unit. This is my first time needing storage but I wish they had carts available to use so I can offload my car and bring it in easily. It's hard because the doors don't prop open. I know they have carts available during office hours but I'm usually there after they close. You know how some airports you can rent them? I'd do that if it was reasonable lol.
