We had to follow them in every room as they missed many things, often seeming surprised we wanted to take our things. Hired crew was angry because the Straight Shot employee sat in the van the entire time without helping. At the end we had to chase them down the street to put our doors back on that had to be removed for appliances. Learned after they left there was TONS is items simply left in the garage. Hundreds or more worth of items we had to give away to neighbors. Once our items left, we heard nothing. No communication at all so I had to keep reaching out to find out if our stuff made it to their Florida warehouse or not. Finally settling into our home, we organized for them to deliver our items. The truck was significantly more empty than when it left our home in CO, even though it contained another parties items. We had to monitor the unloading and tell them what was and was not ours as they made no attempts to mark them or keep it separated. They kept saying it must not have been loaded right, so we believed them. Unpacking we found many items broken or lost. We have paid movers many times in the past and never once had a broken item or claim of any sort. It is not possible to know the full breadth of what was lost, but we contacted claims to document broken items. The claims rep Chris was helpful and responsive. Went back and forth, when he finally offered a sum to cover everything. We agreed on a dollar amount and method of payment. Fast-forward 1 month, claims, and the owner Michael Erickson are now ignoring me. We paid a significant premium to use Straight Shot believing we were getting our money's worth. At the time they were 5 star rated on every platform, and had lots of positives on the Moving to Florida FB Pages. Not sure what has happened to them, but I believe they are con artists, posting fake positive reviews to dupe people into using they sub-par service. Be very weary of using this 1 star service. They are rip-off artists and will disappear once they have all your money.

Second thing, they were suppose to bring a 3 man team and ended up with 2. More time it takes, more money. At the end, at bill paying time they took off $25 for the third person not showing! Thirdly, they sure chat up with my hubby. Hmmm, more time, more money. The time sure stretched out. Finally, that I know of right now, they put boxes wherever! I clearly had each box marked as to which room it goes. They would also ask me, I finally started saying "what's the box say?" I packed up all our breakable antiques except 2 pieces of English art pottery. They were a 12" high Baby owl and a baby raccoon. I found them on the floor unwrapped with a bunch of pictures (we also have found the glass on some of them broke). The ears on the raccoon were chipped they allowed me $25. credit. Most of the power cables on printers, computer and lamps were pulled out and not packed with the device. They came back and found one of two I could not find. I found the last one today. They are very friendly but the young men are either poorly trained or do not care. Of course we find that in all lines of work nowadays.
