So far have only offered $500 for the damage...which is unacceptable. The packing was hastily and carelessly done. When moving in, items were not placed where we asked and most items (mostly heavy) items were thrown into the garage. Very unprofessional and company is not making it right by replacing the damage they caused. I will update review if they replace what was damaged and lost.

I was asked to have someone be there 30 minutes before the movers were scheduled to be there. I had queried whether to have the movers would like to utilize a basement bay or the front door. I was assured that the movers would prefer to utilize the front door. The movers had a 2 hour window and they never made it to the office in that time frame. They called 20 minutes after the window and said they would be there in 15 minutes. 45 minutes after the 2 hour window they called back saying that they were at the basement bay. I informed them that I was told that they would prefer the front door. It was not until 60 minutes after the 2 hour window that they made it to the office. It took them 15 minutes to move the truck from the back of the building to the front. They were pleasant enough. They moved the items to where they needed to go. I am not impressed that after all the communication there was time lost and more expense for us because of the lack of clarity between Mike and his movers. Once upon a time, I bought a couch while I was living in an apartment, and didn't have anywhere to put it. We had just bought a house, but we were at that in-between time when you don't quite live in the house yet, but don't want to haul a couch up the stairs to your apartment (PIVOT, anyone?). I called Wendy, she had storage, I put the couch in the smallest unit she could rent me and it lived there for a month until I got into my house. It was a short, but sweet experience, and I swore to myself that if I ever needed storage again, I was going to call Wendy. Fast-forward eight years and I had cause to use Room to Spare again. Only this time, Wendy had no room to spare. I checked. I even asked if she'd let me move some stuff into her basement for a short time. I honestly think if I'd begged, she may have given in and let me store some things down there. She's just that nice. Wendy didn't have any storage for me, but was so sweet on the phone and explained to me why things are the way they are. In this market, people are selling their houses quickly and then have nowhere to go. They move into an apartment until they can find a place, but then have to put all their furniture SOMEWHERE while they are waiting. Hence, all the storage units are being used. So no, I didn't get to use Wendy's services. She did offer to put me on her waiting list, but my need was immediate and I was able to put into place a backup plan. Oh, I should also mention that when I was first looking into selling my house, I stopped into Room to Spare to talk to them about packing supplies and them helping me sell some of my crap that I didn't want to bring with me to my new (downsized) place. The staff is so accommodating and kind and patient. I swear, one day I'm going to need to store more stuff and Wendy is going to have a place for me to put my belongings where she and her little storage angels will keep close watch over them. And if by chance I make it through the next few years without needing storage, I might just stop in anyway and bring her a coffee. So I found this company on Craigslist, and was a little unsure because you hear a lot of horror…read morestories about craigslist companies, but I was looking for more quotes and called. The owner Don, came to my appartment to do the walkthrough and quoted me for 4 guys and eight hours. My move was a little more complicated than most as there were 3 separate places to load up and a real trick and steep stairwell with a lot of big furniture. I was in the Army living in Itay for 7 years so I collected a lot of large and heavy furniture and quite a few fragile trinkets. The crew showed up on time- no complaints there. I took them on a tour of what was needed and they started to work. After about 30 min though, they had to rework their plan after realizing just how trick this appartment was. I can't complain about that, because after they got it figured out, everything went smooth. They had one guy on the back of the truck who really knew how to load a moving truck. It was pretty impressive. Kinda like tetris. So they got the apt loaded up and the stoarge area loaded up (located in a warehouse behind the apt) and Don came out to check out progress. That made me feel good. The crew didn't break anything and showed me any thing that was damaged before they touched it, so I knew it wasn't casued by them. They even took apart some furniture and put it together perfectly later. After all that was loaded, we went to my brother's house to pick up just a few more large items and the crew went to have lunch. I will be honest and say I was a littler worried on time because we were at 5 hours by then (always takes longer to load than download) but once we got to my new house, everything went fast. I walked them through the place and as they got my stuff off the truck, I just told them where to put it and it was done. I did walkthroughs at all locations and there was no damage, I checked out all my furniture and the things I was sure would be most likely to break and no problems what so ever. They even got it done just shy of the 8 hours quoted. I hope I wont ever have to move again, but If I do, I would hire this crew again. The guys were hard workers, they were funny and most importantly- They moved all my belongings without breaking them. As far as price goes, Don even gave me a better quote than the next closest guy by almost $200 and then, He even gave me a discount for being a Veteran. I can't complain about that. Looking on this site, I see someone on this site had a negative experience, but I can't relate at all. Everything went textbook for my move and I had a hard one. I would say call these guys.
