All About Cats Cat Clinic

All About Cats Cat Clinic

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I am here to add my hundreds of stars for All About…read moreCats! I can't imagine how a cat vet service could be better. It is just a place run by and for cat lovers. They are folks who truly understand and appreciate cats and all their quirks. I love going here! Dr. Barkley and Dr. Rataj are the most honest and kind vets I have ever visited. They communicate promptly about test results and inquiries via email and leave detailed texts when necessary as well. I appreciate that both she and Dr. Rataj are so open about sharing information. My husband and I always make comfortable, informed decisions. And their entire staff is stellar. Teri at the front desk is always friendly, helpful and fun (and purple!). Deb, Megan and Amanda really know my cat, Zumbie, and have all kinds of pet names for him. It means a lot to walk in and everyone is happy to see you and your cat! Recently, I had to put my cat, Jitters, to sleep due to a condition he was suffering from that had turned untreatable. Dr. Barkley explained clearly what the options were in a realistic and sympathetic manner. I felt secure about my decision to let Jitters go unlike some other unnamed vets I have used in the past. Teri came in before the procedure so I could get all the billing taken care of without having to stop at the desk on the way out. All About Cats sent me a wonderful card signed by the whole staff. If you are seeking a cat vet, you can't do better than All About Cats. They are the best! Hurry up, make an appointment already.

They ended up charging me for a technician exam AND then the actual anal sack expression but on the phone I was told there would be no extra cost and the total would be $36. But they charged me another $46 for the actual expression. I just took a different cat to Aloha Dog and Cat and it was only $30.

Compassionate Care - in home dog euthanasia

In a perfect world, I would hope that no one would need to avail themselves of their service and…read moreour beloved animals would live with us forever. When that is no longer the case and tough decisions need to be made, we had an excellent experience with Compassionate Care to say goodbye to our pup. Let me start by saying that every administrative and customer service interaction was timely, clear, and concise. The last thing you want in this situation are delays and confusion. Once I reached out through the contact link on their website, the email response with details about their different services happened within 10 minutes. An intake call to make arrangements for a euthanasia visit at our home was answered by a human and only took a few minutes. They recommend making a reservation 48-hours in advance, but we were put on a wait-list and we moved up our reservation when things opened up. I appreciate that you can reschedule (with four hours advance notice) as well. They have a variety of services, Eco-friendly cremation, and memorial pieces. Everything was arranged in advance, including payment through their web portal, so when the vet arrived for the appointment it was all about our boy and his (and our) comfort. Dr. Wilson clearly walked us through the process, gave us time to say goodbye, provided options, and was a wonderful partner in the process. Cremation is done at a facility in N. Portland, but they have the option of picking up the cremains in Oregon City which was more convenient for us. Having gone through this experience with another pet where we took them to the vet's office, I would highly recommend this option for the pet's comfort. It just felt better saying goodbye in a familiar space surrounded by love.

My experience was okay…read more I made a most difficult decision to let my beloved cat go after a long weekend spent almost entirely in ER trying to figure out why he would no longer eat and why his eye was swelling shut. And an even longer two or three weeks before that fighting to get him to eat. Like others here, Kevin was closer to me than my human family. I was busy with the doctors in ER so my partner called in to make the appointment to ease my stress. He said I was primary contact, but it was difficult to make that clear all the way until the day so communications were continually going to him. Not a big deal in the overall picture, but it didn't make the experience any easier. This was my cat for 8 years before I met my partner and while he loved my baby, I was the one with the lifelong bond. The doctor showed up within the time window allotted. We both found her a little cold. I felt like we were just a job and everything was done by number. My BF picked up my cat and carried him to me, but the doctor said we should do paperwork first which resulted in me putting him down after building up to do what I deemed impossible. I was emotional and crying. This really should somehow be handled before the visit. There were corrections to be made on the form. I was about to lose my baby and this only made me aware that I was filling out his death warrant. I am utterly heartbroken. I know holding your baby until the last minute is catharsis and closure, but I found it traumatizing. His passing was peaceful at least. Everyone's goodbye will be unique, and my example will not necessarily match what others experience. Everyone we spoke to was professional. I just wasn't feeling the compassion.

I love everything about this place. I was a little…read more-concerned- when the first meeting was a zoom, but it really gave me a chance to share my concerns with Dr. Mandi, discuss her treatment thoughts for my GSD, and plan for our first appointment. Because so many dogs coming here are post-surgery or otherwise having issues, they're super careful to avoid K9-contact and so our first appointment was very low stress. Dr. Mandi worked with my dog to make sure everything was set for our plan. Thereafter we did physical therapy, where Trixie did as much PT as I did learning, water treadmill (which I thought was going to be a disaster but went swimmingly well). You see different team members when you come in so you get a really good perspective on different approaches to the PT/training (Trixie trains easily, me less so). They also are collecting all of the A-Team local providers here, including accupuncture etc.. 5-stars, definitely recommend.

Our dogs love the underwater tredmill, laser therapy, and the gym! They have so much fun with the talented and caring staff, and come home feeling rejuvenated and exhausted. Also healing arts helps us submit bills for pet insurance which really helps! We look forward to many more years to happy healthy dogs with their help!

We literally walked in without an appointment as our Shiba had ingested some cherry laurel berries from a neighbor's tree. She was wobbly and threw up so we knew it was urgent. Dr Harley Johnson and her team were wonderful. She even took extra time to research and confirm we had the right plant and wanted to ensure we didn't take any unnecessary steps or incur any charges we didn't need. I would definitely come back here for any emergency or speciality care!

I found the entire staff very supportive and helpful. In both cases, there really wasn't anything to be done, both cats were elderly and sick, and I knew I was bringing them in for the last time. I really appreciated the staff and the vet's care, one cat had end stage renal disease, and the vet was very informative and caring about what his labs meant, etc. They have a very nice room set aside for those who are saying goodbye to their pets. I realize my experience doesn't have anything to do with acute problems in younger animals that may need surgery, etc., but I was impressed with the compassion and with the speed in which they took care of both of my cats when we were experiencing end of life choices.
