There were only about 3 people in the waiting room. I said I would go somewhere else and reached for my card back she rolled her eyes and said "okaaayyyyy" like she was 16yrs old, mind you she was probably around 60. I got in my car balling my eyes out. I don't understand why she treated me with such disrespect, why she looked me up and down and judged me when I said I needed a note for work. Sometimes, even though people may appear perfectly fine it's because were trying our best to hold it all together. As a clinic receptionist I would expect less judgement and more kindness to everyone you come in contact with. I ended up going to the clinic on Walker and Ottawa. The receptionists, nurses and doctor all treated me with the utmost respect and were SO kind. I also got in 10 minutes after I gave them my health card. Everyone told me to take care of myself. It honestly put in perspective just how rude the receptionist at the Hawthorne clinic was. Shame on her for the way she treated me. I won't jump to conclusions but just because I'm a decent looking girl in my 20s DOESNT mean you can treat me like that and DOESNT mean im lying about something being wrong with me. I will NEVER go back to that clinic ever ever again.

My home healthcare provider for Psw is ELSO assisted-living southwestern Ontario. My nursing care at home is Saint Elizabeth both of these organizations they have great staff, but their management is horrendous. They do not understand the process of calling individuals if schedule is changed or a nurse is available. They have never called me once I've been with them over 10 years and not once have they called me to tell that my schedule has been changed and I wait hours upon hours to see if I'm getting a nurse from Saint Elizabeth And then find out the fact that the nurse is available or she called in sick first thing in the morning Care is OK but there as well it's not there schedules get changed consulting with Client. Staff are hired on to do healthcare which has no experience whatsoever and healthcare, they don't have a personal support certificate off the street some of them don't even understand English and a self directed care and environment where we direct our care and the people that come in don't understand English and can't understand what we're asking them to do people tell me that they've asked for fish and chips and they've given them Chicken strips and french fries I have argued with staff that don't understand and don't understand what the difference between pickles are sweet dill beats olives another one milk and cream. They think they are the same. They are not. I don't complain to managers for both organizations and nothing has improved, so this is the last resort that I can do. I've called my coordinator or both organizations. I've called The Lynn and complain to my coordinator there and nothing has improved so this is my last resort and I hope that somebody out there will listen and show that WINDSOR and Essex, the best care when it comes to their health specially after coming home from hospital and is in an environment that is a constant care SO is the only organization that has 24 hour care so those are the people that get what they get one of those because I get 24 hour care And I what I'm hoping will be a consistent schedule and I don't. My schedule has changed four times after having a meeting with the Director, the manager and the client service Director set a certain schedule seven days a week and since I've done that my schedule has changed four times without informing me, it's unprofessional it's unethical and it's unacceptable and I hope that something gets done so that we can get the care that we deserve here in WINDSOR and Essex County health unit outsourcing that Hospital do to keep us home in our own home to get the care that we need.

She advocated for my natural birth plan every step of the way and guided me through breathing techniques when it came time to push. There was not a minute that went by without her by my side. I could go on and on but the most important piece, was the emotional support that she invested in my birthing experience. I felt the comfort of a best friend and all the guidance of an expert. I'd recommend Eri to any mama who wants to feel grounded, supported, and fully loved in the delivery room.

My poor 87 yr old mother was left in a dirty diaper because she's had major surgery and can't walk for 6 weeks and because of that she ended up getting a terrible diaper rash! Nurse told her to wait an hour because she was going to lunch! Really? Terrible! There is so much wrong doing in the so called "Rehab"center!! Inconsiderate! In compassionate! Lazy! Spent a week and half with a friend who was dying of cancer and was placed in this palliative…read more"care" facility. She was constantly in pain, had to take a bowel movement and was left waiting 45 minutes before any nursing "assistance" appeared although I spoke to them several times about her need at the moment. The beds are covered in plastic which means the patients are constantly slipping downwards, the linens do not fit the plastic mattresses, the door was constantly open to the racket in the halls, no peaceful death here. The night before she died, a Sunday night, her door was open, I arrived by elevator, walked to her room past the empty nurses' station, stayed 1/2 hour with her, and never saw a nurse or attendant in all that time! Apparently no staff on the floor. Two days before she died, they forced a Covid-19 test on her up her nose to which she was attempting to get away from. It is an evil, horrible place, a jail actually, where the patients have no say in the care they receive. I tried to advocate for her, but her husband said he didn't want to cause waves. Well, I hope this causes a wave. Unconscionable. Business = money before people. The name of this facility is an oxymoron.
