I went in today for a beard trim. First off, not a single employee said hello. I've been to their old location but not here before, not exactly a welcoming vibe. One of the barbers' apparent friends was lounging with his feet up on the couch. I sat down and waited, typical for any barber shop. And waited. And waited. When it was my turn I got a "are you ready?" Oh okay, hi I'm Justin. "Eric. So what are we doing?" Well, to fill you in, I am bald and this morning I had a pretty long, full beard for Eric or whoever I ended up with to do their magic. I told him I want to keep it as long as possible, but the sides and neck need to be brought in because it's longer than the bottom, so I guess just trimmed up and I usually fade the sideburns. Eric gets to work, pretty hastily and rough to the point where my neck is red and bleeding. I guess it was lunchtime or he had somewhere better to be. Away he goes with the buzzer, fades the sideburns, then buzzes down my cheeks/jaw to #3 or so. The goatee area is about 4" long so you could clearly see a line where he trimmed and didn't. So much for trim and fade, I guess. He asks "how's that?" And I tell him I wanted it faded all around and if he could blend it into the sides a bit. He tried but there's such a difference that there's no way he could. So essentially, Eric here could have done literally ANYTHING besides what he did and I would have been happier. I walked in with a blank canvas of a beard and walked out with a #3 buzz cut and shaving cream in my eye. So unless you're a buff, tan, Italian guy that's looking for the Jersey Shore look of hair gel and chin straps, I wouldn't recommend this poor excuse for a barber shop. read more
