Let my start by explaining that I am a perfectionist and the type of bride who loves spreadsheets and lists. Before I even met with any vendors, I had created charts of their services, pricing, and online reviews. So, when I sat down for my initial interviews with them, I wanted to be WOW'd. Akeshi and her talented team definitely have that WOW! factor. Lists and spreadsheets are good and fine, but it's the people who make our dreams come true... and the team at Kesh Events is simply amazing. I discovered Kesh Events at a bridal expo in downtown Chicago. Their exhibit really took my breath away. When my fiance, Larry, and I met with them for our initial consultation, we were so impressed. Akeshi literally sketched out my vision while I explained it to her, and it was everything I'd ever imagined. Kesh Events has designed all the decor from the floral to the lighting and fabric, and it is absolutely fabulous. The team has helped with the vendor contracts, timeline and schedules, and they will be coordinating everything on the big day. They are making our vision come to life by focusing on the smallest of details and creatively accommodating our unique needs. Their level of dedication and positive relationships with Chicagoland vendors makes this level of service possible. Not only has Akeshi and her team met our expectations, but they continually exceed them. Akeshi is always reaching out to make sure I'm following the timeline (and budget!), to make sure there's nothing I need from her, and really just to catch up. She and her team genuinely care about their brides' lives outside of the wedding, which is just so important. I have recommended Kesh Events to several of my friends who are recently engaged. They have been so easy and organized and every idea they have comes from the heart. We haven't had to change a single thing and trust them with every little detail. Recently, my fiance and I had to make the decision to postpone our wedding due to covid-19. I fully expected the change to be very stressful, but they have made it stress-free and very relaxed. Kendall has gotten in contact with all of our vendors quickly and easy and we have been able to lock in everything again within a few days of switching our date. Bless her. We're also both lawyers and are used to things being well organized, but Katy consistently went above and beyond. We also do not live in Chicago, and Katy made it so easy to get everything done remotely and be our eyes and ears on the ground. The biggest benefit of working with Katy and the Christine Janda team, however, was that they make truly beautiful events! Katy and Giora created such a beautiful space for our wedding reception with their floral and design expertise, incorporating Chicago wildflowers and our backgrounds into the venue at the University Club of Chicago. The captain on staff at the University Club even told us at the end of the night how it was the most beautiful reception he had seen at the Club, and he had worked over 200 weddings there. It's only been a week, her talent really shined on my wedding day when my guests couldn't stop praising the beauty of the decorations and her little personal touches she made around the venue. The bouquets were exactly what I had envisioned and we got so many compliments!! My girls were pleased, the only thing was my husband's boutonniere didn't seem to last all night....but no one really noticed but me....everyone was just busy dancing! I was recommended to Maha by multiple friends, they all had their own style at their weddings...I kinda wanted more elegance yet simple decorations, which she did an amazing job in presenting. We met up twice before and talked on the phone couple times to make sure we are on the same page with everything. I wasn't worried about her presentations, as I have seen her work and it is outstanding!! I was more concerned about the cost and meeting my budget. It wasn't cheap but she worked with me and made it more pleasant toward the end. Walking into the reception I was speechless, she added more of her touch than we agreed on and made my wedding entrance blossom! I didn't want my bridal party to sit next to me, I really wanted to focus on our sweetheart table....and she really did make it the focal point of the room. I also had 3 Centerpieces throughout the room, each one was different but they are blended together well. I never liked big tall centerpieces that blocked guest's views...I kept it simple, yet elegant. Loved every piece. Maha did an amazing job! loved everything, from church to Venue decorations....all together she made it beautiful and it definitely stood out from all my friends that used her in the past. She was easy to work with and very open to give me suggestions. Her taste and expertise really did it for me and I would recommend her to anyone in the future!!

First of all, we live in Oakland, California and our wedding was in Chicago (home for us). We knew we wanted to have our wedding where we met and where our families are for convenience for them, but it was a real inconvenience for us. Our wedding, for us, basically became a destination wedding, and we couldn't have done any of it without Sandy. It was a logistical nightmare, but having someone in Chicago to handle aspects of the planning for us was amazing. From our first consultation with Sandy, we knew she was definitely the right fit. Sandy listened to us, our vision, and our budget. We did not want a cookie cutter wedding by any means. From the ceremony, venue, coloring and timeline, we wanted things different. We wanted things "us". Our wedding was 100% ours and us. She was detail oriented. When we would go through invites, ceremony handouts, menus, signage, our wedding website, etc. Sandy would notice every little detail. I only noticed a few typos here and there that MAYBE occurred, but she was in the details about changing things to be aesthetically pleasing, to fit better, be more centered, etc. She was way more in the details of my wedding than I was! She's incredibly detail oriented and wants everything to have an organic and nice flow to it. Something I love about Sandy is her honesty. She would not just blindly agree with me to make me happy. She definitely put in her opinion and always had a reason why that she was suggesting something different (and it wasn't suggestions to make it hers, just things that made sense from a wedding professional!). She would alert me if something would look off, or if what I had in mind didn't work or would work, but needed tweaking to make it happen. She also had amazing suggestions for our vendors. With those vendors, because of the relationship she has built with them over time, we would actually get discounts from them (she basically paid for herself with this feature!). On the same token as vendors- she organized EVERYTHING WITH THEM. From walkthroughs of the venue the week of, to communicating with them, sending them the timeline, letting them know what we wanted and our vision, EVERYTHING. After our vendors were hired (we hired many before we realized we needed her) she would have us intro her via email, and then communicate with them separately if she did not need anything else from us, which was so nice. Some nitty gritty details you just do not need to be a part of, and she recognized when it was appropriate to cut us out. The day itself went off without a hitch. If there was an issue day of, we did not know about it at all. She handled everything and was on point the entire time. Timeline, vendors, our families, everyone knew who Sandy was and where to ask questions, which is great because the bride and groom are a bit overwhelmed that day! I highly highly recommend Sandy. She is worth the stress she cuts out during the planning process and day of wedding. A lot goes into a wedding and she is an absolute professional about everything. She is an amazing communicator (via whatever method you prefer, we would chat on instagram, text, email, phone, FaceTime... the works!). She made everything so easy and our wedding was a dream. We ended up hiring VR Inspirations for the day of and rented couches, an arch and got florals for the arch. Our wedding day went so smoothly largely thanks to Lori and John. They went above and beyond, kept the timing perfect, made sure details were not forgotten, and allowed us to be worry free. We also hired their team to set up our entire wedding, centerpieces included, and it all looked so amazing! They had couches in the bridal suite and moved them around the venue for cocktail hour and the reception. They also found and saved me a piece of cake at the end of the night(and gave it to me the next day) when I was bummed that I didn't eat any and wasn't able to take any home!

I didn't even meet with any other florists. She knows how to make flowers understandable and relateable to someone like me who completely lacks artistic or creative ability. She was flexible and didn't mind meeting with us on evenings or weekends in locations that were convenient for us. She listened well and worked with us to make sure we were getting the best results for our budget. I didn't have to worry, and the flowers looked great the entire day.

She talked through her portfolio, and then we talked about my wedding, the feel I wanted to create, my colors, and then I showed her a few pictures of things that I liked that I found in magazines. She asked me what my budget was, and then she talked through some of her ideas that all fit within my budget. Fantastic! She even recommended a place where she knew we could buy the cheapest votive candles for the reception tables. She saved us a lot of money, and she did an amazing job. The bouquets, boutonierres, and centerpieces she created were beautiful and far surpassed my expectations. She did a great job and for a great price. She was also very professional, and returned emails promptly and always answered each of my questions. I can't say enough good things.
