From the very start, they send a guy for an estimate, and I get…read moreoffered 3 options to replace the covering of the walkout porch on my upstairs apartment, and I never get a copy of the estimate. That's just for starters. They don't come, and they don't come and they don't come. I'm calling and calling to see when they're coming and finally, when someone does show up, it's NOT Brincks Exteriors; it's Larry, Moe and Curley Joe from some slipshod roofing company they've sublet my job to; without ever telling me. They took an iron railing down to start (without marking the sequence they had to be put back up), and a separate company had to be brought in to do that job, and finally did that at the end of this whole scenario, about 2 months from the start. The estimate I paid for was supposed to replace all the plywood on the 14' x 18' surface, and they only replaced about 5 or 6 sheets, if that. During the whole comedy routine, they poked a hole through the sheetrock down into my bedroom, which is below this porch. L, M & CJ Roofing offered to fix it, free of charge, but at this point, after all the hassle, I just wanted the job finished and them off my property. They used a very thin rubber roofing product (.002 or something like that) for a surface that is used for porch furniture and foot traffic, when it should've been a thicker, more suitable surface in order to last. These guys are general contractors; they didn't come and do any of the work - had I known how that was going to go, I never would've hired them!! Beware!

They took it upon themselves to provide me a satellite photo of MY HOUSE along with my personal home address. Yes, I know these things can be obtained publicly via Google Maps, Zillow, etc., but it is an invasion of privacy to use that information in an attempt to gain business. If I needed a home remodel project done, I would like to contact a business and INVITE them to provide me a quote. Send me unsolicited materials with this information using my address and photo of my house is beyond insulting and unprofessional. This so called business even provided a QR code to go to a website where all my information was also uploaded. It may be "legal" but it sure is unethical. Because of this, I will NEVER contact Ridge Top Exteriors for any home project (roofing, windows, siding, etc.). If this is how they operate to gain business, I am sure the actual work is just as shady. I mean, simply look at every negative review here. Some from the business always responds with snarky attitude because someone dared provide their honest experience. This company has terrible sales practices and customer service. It was a poor experience in that the original representative was two hours late and the second person they sent out (who indicated he was a higher rank/position than the prior rep) was rude. The prices are also unnecessarily high and that's after they have talked down the price three times (gross sales gimmicks). BUT, I was interested in a Kitchen renovation and saw an ad for home buddy.com that suggested it would give me the average/going rate for renovations in my area. After plugging in my information, it misleadingly connected me with Mad City. They texted me and I responded with "stop" per the instructions if I was no longer interested. But Mad City proceeded to call me twice that night and 10 times the following day. I picked up and talked a representative THREE times. I told them the website that I put my info into did not mention it was connected with Mad City and had I known it would, I would not have inquired. I relayed the negative experience that I was not interested in their services and the first caller was respectful. The second caller seemed unaware that I had responded to the first caller and hung up on me after I told him. The third time, I very directly told the caller that I had told two other callers that I was not interested and to stop calling me. He talked over me the whole time, like that was supposed to make me change my mind and work with them. Don't let them bully you too.

They have very pushy sales people, and are very overpriced…read more The will, and have pressured the elderly (my mother) into signing extremely overpriced contract/s with lock in dates that they are not able to ever back out of. I advise everyone to stay far far away. Instead get a local reputable contractor at a much better price and quality.
