I browsed the store while waiting for my sandwich. They let us sample chili that day. By the time I came back, my sandwich was ready. The sandwich was massive. You definitely should try their corti bros special. They get to decide what meat you'll get for the day. Definitely would come back for a loaded sandwich that's under $10. When you enter the store the deli counter is to the left. You begin your order by filling out a small piece of paper which tells the sandwich makers what to put on your sandwich. Once your selections are made place the paper on a small black plate at the end of the counter right next to where you filled out order sheet. I usually go with a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich with pepper jack for the cheese. They have all of the usual fixings expected at a deli shop. Just circle what you want and wait for them to call your name. What made the sandwich stand out was the generous portion size and the fresh bread. The Dutch crunch actually crunched!!! They have tables and chairs outside to the left of the entrance to sit and eat. The store opened in 1947 and the food was excellent. Will most definitely be back when I am in the town!!

Going to the DMV is such a hassle and you can no longer get a number and talk to an agent to renew your registration on site. They will direct you to one of there kiosks on site for you to do it. So if you aren't a kiosk lover you're out of luck. You can also renew by paper, just tear off the bottom of the paper and mail it in with your check, but that takes time. Using this Safeway Kiosk is instant, you give them your credit or debit card and you're in and out in no time. You don't even need the paper they sent you to renew your registration on site. I have to say there is something glitchy with the yelp app. I took around 10 pictures today and only 3 pictures stuck. Too bad, they were a lot of great pics. I don't know what's happening. The same thing happened with my Sees's Post only 2 of the 5 pictures stuck. Just imagine lots more pictures. Such as the one of this year's superbowl napkins. They are selling them on an end cap at Safeway. The bad about the trip is the digital coupons that you clip on your phone didn't right up right at the register and we had to go to customer service for a price adjustment. For some reason my husband can clip all the coupons on his phone , but his phone number isn't linking to his account. He needs to scan the QR code from his card on this phone by the sales associate when he checks out. What a pain. When he has a chance he'll give them a ring and see if they can fix it. The customer service guy couldn't help us. He's the one that said give the checker the QR code to scan. This is making shopping at Safeway difficult and not efficient. We did get a lot of good deals or we think we got a lot of good deals. Pete's coffee was $7.99 a bag. Eggs were $1.99 a dozen. Chicken broth was on sale for 50% off in the clearance section and we grabbed 4. Then we went to the regularly section and it was on sale for only 99 cents so we put the clearance ones back on the rack and took the 99 cent ones. The bathrooms are locked up, you need a code to get in. I was lucky that the person in-front of me had the code. The bathrooms aren't spectacular. They are decent. They didn't smell bad and appeared clean. Clearance Rack- There are 2 racks out side the restrooms of clearance items. There appeared to be lots of good deals. As you heard above we though we were getting a good deal, but we weren't so know your prices before you fall for the 50% off sticker deal.

Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. Midtown

Adj: Small but Mighty little Grocery Outlet…read more Still a good one, an oldie but a goodie. We've been coming here for over a decade, and it's still a consistently good GO. For a more pricey part of town since it's in midtown, just on the edge of downtown really, this GO has stayed reasonable in all it offers. It's located at 1700 Capitol Ave not far from the east side of Capitol Park a few blocks from the Capitol Rose Garden. This GO is right across 17th St from the East End Complex buildings with offices for the CA Dept of Public Health and CA Dept of Health Care Services. Out front there were still some herbs and spring seasonal plants on sale, although only 1 rack of them left, since it's already kind of late in the planting season. This is a smaller store, given how expensive real estate is in downtown, but the owners have really packed it all in. Every section has most everything other bigger Grocery Outlet stores carry, except maybe not as many of any given item, but overall, I see that most things I'm looking for and buy regularly at my neighborhood GO is still available here. You've got your fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, dairy (milk and yogurt), sundries, pantry staples like cans and dry pasta, seasoning (sauces and spices), freezer items (frozen veg, meats and heat-and-eat meals), and beers & wines all available here with great variety. As you enter the store there's a super convenient grab-n-go deli cold case section for quick ready-to-eat lunches which is super helpful for office workers who might be just looking to get something very quickly for lunch without breaking the bank. You can get a salad kit, a ready-made sandwich, pre-cut fruits, some cheeses, or a deli salad in this section. There's also a small floral section right near here so if you were looking for a gift to give to a coworker/boss/friend/your significant other, you can very easily and quickly find a nice potted plant or a small bouquet and be on your way. It's definitely not a full-service floral dept, but there's a good assortment of plants and flowers to choose from and some of were even tropical plants that looked pretty unique! Next there's the health & beauty section next, and it's pretty comprehensive. Next is the produce section and it's smaller than a suburban GO, but it's still got a little bit of most kinds of veggies and fruits you'd be looking for, and if you're ok with a different brand of salad than your go-to brand, you'd definitely find some here, so the key is flexibility while shopping at GO. Then there's the meat dept next to the produce section, it is smaller, but still a good sized display case filled with meats of all kinds, and next to that are the dairy cold cases where I saw some pretty nice brands of creamers such as Califia coconut creamer and Nutpods creamer, both priced so much lower than regular grocery stores, I'll add pics of those. My fav section is the snacks area. I found some snacks here that have been out of stock at 2 other GO's I visited looking for them, so I stocked up and bought a bunch so I won't run out! So thankful that they had them in stock! The rest of the store is laid out and stocked with pretty much the same items as other bigger GO's. You've got your dairy, frozen, pantry staples, and wine sections in addition to the other departments I already mentioned, and everything looked pretty well organized and quite easy to find. One thing is that the aisles here are closer together probably so they can save space and maximize their shelves to provide as much wonderful grocery items to their customers as they can. Check out was quite easy and the cashier was friendly and quick. Thank you Midtown GO and we hope you will keep on keeping us well-fed at affordable prices. I'll definitely be back to restock when I run low on my essentials and to look for new and exciting items at my favorite "bargain market"!

Sometime you just want to hurriedly grab some ready-to-heat-and-eat meals or some chips, drinks, and other snacks, and GO provides these and more conveniently without having to go to a regular supermarket that sometimes just feels big and overwhelming, plus GO often have good deals without having to look for the sales. A no-brainer in my book. So I've come here several times and it used to be really nice and it's still ok, but due to the sad and kind of dire homelessness problem downtown, there's quite a lot of the unhoused folks hanging out in front or around the store, and sometimes they aren't in a good space mentally, so be aware of that when you come by to shop. But generally, the store has done a lot to keep shoppers safe and the store is clean inside although the outside might be more grungy on the sidewalks and parking lot. I've found some really good deals here, some even phenomenal ones, haha.. I always look at the meat section for deals first, and then dairy, cheeses, yogurts, eggs, chips and candies types snacks next, and I don't really look at produce or pantry foods, but the wife would take care of those. I found these amazing sausages for $1.99 recently. What the heck?! I definitely got me a few packs. They've got seasonal items here too, right now it's a lot of Easter candies, cookies, cereal, and even stuff animals and toys. There's also seasonal spring plants, although it's more hit/miss whether they have them here vs. GO's in residential neighborhoods where the vegetable starts are always available in March/April.

Headquartered in Davis, CA dating back to 1926, they have been more of an upscale supermarket experience by offering top-notch customer service while being a forefront to the community. This includes empowering future generations, fortifying the neighborhoods, cultivating environmental change, and inspiring philanthropy. The location I am focusing on is in the Greenhaven-Pocket area. Located in a fairly sizable outdoor strip mall, this Nugget is located directly on Florin Rd and tucked in between Greenhaven Dr and the CA I-5 highway. As for this location, they have been in operation since around 2005 and been a staple for folks that reside in this area. Since I used to work only a 1/2 mile from this store (for about 3 years), I've frequented it on my lunch break as well as before and after work. The parking situation is shared with several other smaller brick-and-mortar businesses including a Starbucks, Subway, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, and much more. The storefront entrance is inviting and welcoming as the entire layout is accommodating while being easy to navigate for customers. I will say that the selection at Nugget is quite possibly the best I have seen in any local grocery store. Here you will find a vast array of produce (regular/organic fruits and veggies), meat/poultry, dairy, frozen foods, and a very impressive variety of beer and wine. However, their deli section which includes all varieties of meats, cheeses, and freshly baked breads is a real winner in my book. The hot and cold foods to go showcase freshly made soups, salads, olives, cold cuts, and meals that you can heat up on your stove or on your BBQ grill. I also wanted to emphasize that the sandwiches here are some of the best I have tried, better than Raley's/Bel Air and much better than what you'd order at a Safeway or Save Mart (all staple supermarkets in Northern California). In addition to the sandwiches, they also offer coffee/tea, fresh juices, açai and Pitaya bowls, smoothies, and much more. I will say that since Nuggets focuses on quality control, much of their food items are significantly higher than the competition. However, just about everything I've purchased here (whether it is pasta, a bottle of wine, or a loaf of bread) has been above average. All in all, the Florin-Greenhaven "Nugget Markets" earn a 4 out of 5 stars from me. Some of the key staple items are quite expensive and don't correlate with my budget. However, the customer service here is top notch while the cleanliness of the store is very well kept. I also wanted to add that the checkout lanes were run very efficiently while making sure every customer is well taken care of. And considering they are open for business 7 days a week from 6am-9pm, you can be assured that they will have what you're looking for.

I came here today as I was running some other errands in this shopping center and only had 2 items that I needed to make dinner. Parking is pretty easy. They are in a shared lot with the other shops in the strip mall. I found a nice spot in the shade in front of the auto store. If you are a regular shopper at Target then this is a very convenient store for you and for those that live in the area. When I first arrived I was looking for zucchini and it was easy to find as the produce department is soon as you walk in the store. Check out was quick. There was only one customer before me, but boy were they chatty. I had to go back as when I got back to the car I realized I forgot the cream cheese. Being low on time I went directly to the customer service desk and asked where I could find the cream cheese to the 4 employees that were there. They were really friendly and offered to walk me to the cream cheese. That was really sweet of them, they could have just pointed me in the right direction and given me the isle number. She walked me all the way up to the cream cheese and also explained the layout of the store for further purchases. There were 3 brands of cream cheese. I bought the house brand as it was over $1 cheaper then the mid brand and $3 cheaper then the high end brand. With the help of the staff of Nugget I was able to get my groceries in time and I still had enough time to run my other errands before I had to be at my appointment. Yea for great customer service. Dinner was a success. Creamy Chicken and Zucchini casserole. The cream cheese made it so creamy and the zucchini made it so healthy, filled with over 4 cups of veggies.

It is so bad they give me the last one on display instead of having one in the fridge or something so the crust is like hard as a brick and the chocolate just makes it impossible to cut thru. Then you have the "custard" and it's just watery jelly... no flavor of custard at all. The fruits were alright but wow that was so bad. Adj: Dependable Like…read morea faithful friend you can always count on is this Raley's. It's been on Freeport for decades! In fact I believe this is the flagship store and Raley's truly is a local establishment as the Raley family still owns and operates all of their stores throughout Sacramento and the bay area. Long ago, it was down the block a little bit, but it moved to this new location a block north where Capitol Nursery used to be. This Raley's location has now been here for almost 6 years as it has been in the Land Park neighborhood since it officially opened in April 2020. I didn't know this, but apparently it's 55,000 sf large! It's huge! I don't think there's another store location as big as this one. The previous site at 4850 Freeport Blvd was "only" about 35,000 sf and is being made into a Chuze Fitness gym, expected to open in summer 2026. What I like about this Raley's besides how new and clean it is, is that it really was thoughtfully designed especially with its modern touches, second floor mezzanine seating, outdoor dining, and a tasting room (also upstairs). The store also pays historical tribute to its history in Sacramento, featuring its refurbished iconic Raley's monument sign and the neon sign from Capital Nursery. The only thing that's challenging is that the parking lot is often very very busy and can be hard to find parking. Although generally more expensive than the other grocery stores I shop at, such as Safeway and Grocery Outlet, besides the all-under-one-roof big box and warehouse stores Target, Walmart, and Costco, the service at Raley's is usually more attentive and the store in much better shape in cleanliness and organization. Even though it's a privately held company, Raley's is not employee owned and was founded in 1935 by Tom Raley, so the company is now in its third generation of family ownership. Raley's operates over 230 locations, including Raley's, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods, and Bashas' across several western states to include CA, NV, AZ, NM, OR, WA, and even AK. Specifically at this store, they really carry a lot of inventory, but not only of national brands and their own store brands, but what I like is that Raley's carries a lot of local brands to, to include boutique and mom & pop companies that are starting up and featuring a lot of homemade and farm-to-fork foods and products. Raley's also seems responsive to feedback from their customers such as the grocery economics we're all facing right now. So Raley's has rolled out a membership program that's free to join and you can then add lots of members-only deals on their app or website, and there's also weekly deals and specials. Overall, Raley's is a great grocery store that often gives back to the communities where they are, such as their generous giving to local schools and other good causes. It offers quality food and daily essential products. It's good to know that when I shop at Raley's, I'm supporting local and indirectly giving back to our community.

My total was $19.30, which I paid in full. Before I could even return my basket, an employee named Jason approached me, laughed, and accused me of stealing the bananas as well as taking a bag without paying. These accusations were completely false and extremely disrespectful. I immediately stopped and confronted him, explaining that I do not take anything I don't pay for. I even removed every item from my bag to show him. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Jason told me to "just take everything," which I refused. I then requested a full refund due to how I was treated. Jason attempted to send me to another cashier, and when I insisted he process the refund himself, he claimed he could not because he needed to weigh the bananas. When I asked what that had to do with refunding the entire purchase, he ran to another cashier and tried to make it seem as though I only wanted to pay the difference for "organic bananas." This was untrue and shifted the issue onto another employee. I spoke with the night manager afterward and informed them that I would be filing a formal complaint. I have been many things in my life, but a thief is not one of them. Being falsely accused -- and laughed at -- was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for.
