Not having an appointment, which I totally forgot you can do, I walked in and was promptly helped. The walk in process was explained to me, and I thought it couldn't be that bad, and it wasn't. From entering to exiting on a Thursday around noon it took about 1hr 15min. That isn't the best part. The lady who helped me took the time out to explain how to get my CDL reinstated. Then she went on to ask if I was a veteran and would I like that added to my ID. In the end, I left feeling like I had learned something, and I dont know her name, but I want to thank her for being patient and giving me info I didn't even know I needed. This is only my second time using this DMV, but it seems like a change of location has brought about a change in attitudes from the customer service. Speaking of location, I like it. It seems roomier and cleaner. The only con I could see is that they don't use the take a number system anymore, so I found myself having to move just to hear my name called. People were coming in having loud conversations to the point you couldn't hear clearly. If I could change one thing it would be for Louisiana to allow for most DMV functions to be done online to the point the only reason you need to go to the DMV is to take a road test. They should also provide a truck for the CDL road test at the DMV. This would allow them to focus on training and customer service.

I didn't catch the woman's name but she was an older, bigger white lady and I'm not sure if my tattoos rubbed her the wrong way or my husband's Trump hat, but she was not friendly at all. She also mentioned how some people leave bad reviews because they didn't bring all the right information but, this however is not my case. I'm leaving a bad review because of her bad attitude only to us! I had no idea that you had to pay reinstatement fees with a debit/credit card because I've always used $$ and finally when it comes to pay, this woman gets an attitude about me having cash only and she swore up and down that I told her I would be using my card to pay these fees when I never said such a thing because I would have left right away if I knew that. My husband gets upset and left before me and before i left I noticed he left his drink on the floor, so, I swiftly picked it up and I might have had an attitude about it but I wasn't going to say anything negative until this woman tells me "I don't have to be ugly about it" and I've been nothing but nice and respectful prior to this point because I respect my elders. I had some choice words for her and she didn't like that. The Mansfield DMV is nice, small and the wait isn't awful but the staff is another story. You can't be selective on whom you're nice to when you work with people Mon-Fri. It costs nothing to just be a decent, fucking human being whether you agree or not with a person's tattoos or political views. Just remember that. I will never be back to this DMV and I don't even want to give this place 1 star. I'd rather wait 12 hours than to deal with this woman's face and attitude. Hope someone finds this review helpful.

It's in a great location for me. Very convenient. I rented a movie (Dragon Tattoo). Did you know that it was made into a foreign trilogy? I didn't. So I asked for assistance in getting the correct one. She was friendly and helpful. Hopefully I have the correct show.
