Defrauded and upcharged! The story: I took my car here to have my AC looked at, the service fee for a diagnostic was not bad, however I was called and told that my system was leaking and needed an additional .5 lb of freeon-- of course I gave them the go ahead that it was ok. I went to pick it up and they reported to me they placed dye in the system as well so they could later tell if it was still leaking. They replaced the freeon allegedly and my air blew cold for my 10 min drive home. Later that day the system totally quit and only blew hot air. One week later I bring it in again to see what's wrong and they gave me a quote of $915 to replace the compressor. Took it to another garage another week later and BOOM: compressor was unplugged!!! No evidence of dye being placed ever. read more

I usually go during my lunch break and get full synthetic and am in and out in under 15 minutes, never having to leave my car! So I stopped in here, explained what just happened at their competitor and they immediately got to work and had my car serviced in less than 20 minutes. This place was amazing! In torn on this place. We were driving through when our truck started having issues. The people were very nice and said they could look at it the same day and would get to it around 12 or 1 (we dropped it off around 9:00) well by 1:30 they didn't look at it and after bugging them they finally drove it around some time around 2:30 They came back and told us what they think the issue was and quoted us $4,500 which was outrageous and we figured hell well just buy a new car then. We then decided to take it to a place down the road who figured out the problem and fixed it for around $550 Don't get me wrong, the people at this shop were very nice and understanding, answering all of our questions. However I had to deduct stars for the time it took them to just drive the car around, not even looking at it, and for their obscurely high price. Thankfully they didn't charge us because they didn't really do anything but drive it. read more

Went in several months ago with my husband for fluids change. Everything seemed to go ok. I only drive it a few days a week. Fast forward a week: Driving down the road like usual, I look back in my rear view mirror & there was massive amounts of fluids on the road that I didn't remember driving up on. Thought that just didn't notice it while coming up on it & kept on. A few weeks later, my Jeep started overheating & slipping gear while out in the middle of nowhere, very limited cell service, with my three kids in the car & on a very hot day thinking surely it wasn't low on fluids because we just had them done. Thankfully I came upon a church with shade trees & pulled in to let my Jeep cool off. After about 30 minutes, I turned it back on & eased it back home. Opened the hood as soon as it cooled off underneath & guess what. There was absolutely no transmission fluid, coolant, & low on oil. We have a paved driveway so no slow leaks have happened. Husband checked and the coolant & transmission fluid plugs were gone. So basically the oil was not completely filled & the other plugs were not screwed in properly. Will not be returning. read more

Had my 2006 Eclipse service there about 4 months ago. They did a good job and were very friendly. Today I was going to change my own oil and could not get the drain plug off. It had been over tightened. I returned to there store and told them the issue. They pulled the car in and loosened the plug and verified all the threads were good. There was no issue at aqll they simply made it right. That is GOOD customer service. While I will do most of my own work I have no problem recomending them. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change two and a half weeks ago. After only 2000 miles and spending over $90 on their high mileage synthetic blend oil, my sensor in my car told me my oil was dirty and needed to be changed. Draining my oil, it was black sludge. This oil should have lasted at least 3000 miles, if not 5000. Either my old oil wasn't entirely drained or something else was done improperly. Never returning to this location. I have a car that requires a generally more expensive oil change due to the filter, and the manager was nice enough to come explain that to me. Although I'm used to paying a premium at this point, it was still a good gesture to let me know about it prior to performing service. The technician was extremely friendly and helpful. hi, this bryan howell..i stopped by this express oil location w my 65' 30k f100 pickup restored, just to have a simple oil change and belts replaced. the technician argued the point w me that the 6 cylinder only required 5 quarts.. as i stated to him (no) do your research, the engine requires 10 to 12 quarts of oil (large deep oil pan) needless to say they drove it around to the other bay clearly with 5 quarts in it to change the belts. after completion i drove the truck 1 mile down the road temp hand and top end valves started rattling, i called the manager he drove down w coolant (coolant wasn't the issue? low oil was the issue 5 quarts low which i had to put in myself after engine seems to be clearly damaged. i was pulled off on the side of the road (david froelich) service manager from another location.. look at my invoice and said clearly they didn't put adequate amount of oil in the truck which has damaged the engine.. he seemed to be helpful yet, considering this is a very high end collectors truck had no since of urgency. i've ordered a new crate engine and will have my attorney to follow for compensation of repair or engine replacement. (please before using any express oil, any adequate fluids added, verify! any possible way you can! this wasn't a cooling problem, this was a low oil problem which caused the engine to overheat (resistance friction?) then as we all should know cooling issues would soon follow. come on guys! youre supossed to be mechanics! this is the basics!!! this truck has been in my family for 55 years. the correct thing for express oil to do is replace/exchange this engine immediately! i personally will not use gainesville jesse jewel express oil again nor dawsonville express oil on interstate 400 (hiring children/young men with no schooling or training in the their trades! you are much better off to take your vehicle to the actual dealer where they have qualified techs. bryan howell/degreed mechanical engineer read more

I went in for a standard oil change on my Honda and it was the fastest, most efficient change I have ever seen. I probably waited all of 5 minutes. The manager, Rick, was extremely friendly -- and his staff was high energy and seem to enjoy working there. They did a once over on my lights, fluids, and tire pressure and they didn't once pressure me into any additional services. Embarrassingly for me, I realized I had left my wallet at home when it came to pay and Rick didn't miss a beat, said it was no problem as I ran home to get it. I can't say enough for this operation. Ricky Ross, the manager, went beyond what anyone else would have done on my vehicle. I went into Express Oil Change about a month ago and go new rotors, brakes and pads. Shortly thereafter there was a grinding sounds and I took it back. Ricky told me to drive it for about 500 miles then if the noise was still there to bring it back. I did and the noise was still there so I took it back yesterday. Ricky test drove the car then put it on the lift. He said the pads and rotors did not look quite right so we replaced everything even to the point of upgrading me to a more expensive pad...at no charge. This type of service you were use to 40 to 50 years ago, but not now. I would not think of taking my car to anyone else but Ricky's shop. So if he ever moves, I'm going to where he ends up. Earlier this year my engine went out and I had to have it replaced. I chose Express oil change. Obviously I was expecting a big price tag on that. We paid over $3000 to get it installed. That's fine. I just went back to them yesterday to have the same car looked at because it was overheating. I have a cracked radiator. I was quoted $560+ dollars to replace it with labor. I couldn't afford that so I paid my $50 diagnostic and left. I called somewhere else and told them the problem. They are going to fix it for $170. I will NEVER give this place my business again.
