It was very clean, offered several snack options in the onsite vending machines, and the outside grounds were lovely. There are several quotes from famous writers enshrined at the site and a variety of plaques with historic lessons--a little learning opportunity off the well-beaten I-80 path. The web page this motel has presented is very deceiving, it was not kept up at all, the weeds were over growing everything, the room was not clean, we would not even take a shower here because the tub was that filthy. The room on the web site shows pretty walls and bedspreads, no bedspreads and the wallpaper is peeling. I post this only because it is best to check travel sights such as this one.
