My girlfriend and I came in with her Honda Civic for an oil change and the cranky old man (the one always sitting around playing with his foreign guitar) was the only one working. We're long time customers who always went to Eduardo, who was the absolute best. We've been sad since he left. In any case, we set up an oil change with this moron and just as we're about to pull her car in, another vehicle with several Armenians pulls up. The old guy stops everything and goes over to talk with them for over 20 minutes, no joke. Laughing and talking. He kept looking over at us and could see we were annoyed and finally came over and said, I quote, "It's going to take me too long to do your oil change, you'll have to go somewhere else." ARE YOU SERIOUS? This was by far the absolute worst racist crap I've ever seen in my life and this guy should be fired immediately. read more

Oil change with lube, fluid check, air pressure and NO UPSELLING runs $34.00. They will tell you if something looks like it needs attention but they leave it up to you where to go for repair. I've had 36 oil changes and a dozen smog checks done here and never had problem with overtightening the plug like sometimes happens at the fast lube joints that use air wrenches. Stretch the threads and you have to deal with oil drips on your driveway. Give these guys a try, they're at the 76 Station at Alameda and Victory. read more

One star for a convient location. We took a mid 90s car in to get smogged, and for some reason it failed miserably. The smog tech was quick to put the blame on our car, saying "it's an old car, it might have something wrong, you should have a mechanic take a look" (....fair..). However, given that the car doesn't smell, make any crazy noises, has been driven 5kmiles/yr, and been serviced regularly - we decided to get a second check elsewhere, and surprise - it passed with flying colors! What makes me give this place a review they deserve, is that they wouldn't refund our initial $40 after we got it passed somewhere else with only 55 miles difference between the two readings. We didn't make any changes to the vehicle, and if we did - we would have gone back to this place and paid the extra $10 instead of $50 somewhere else... So, either this place has a broken machine OR they're failing people to get their failure rate up to perhaps cover up dirty business. And sure, there's a small chance our car "wasn't sick" on the day we passed a smog test elsewhere, but I highly doubt it. Avoid and go elsewhere. read more

This family owned location has been going strong for over twenty-years. They check all your fluids and tire pressure as they do the lube and oil change. The job is about $32 and if they notice an issue with your engine or car in general they point it out as "you may want to have this looked at my your mechanic."
