I'm kinda of a big fan of express actually gor years but now after all this time writing a review. Going in it's always not that many people which is great for me personally, if I happen to be around an employee they do ask if there's anything they can help with and that's it which I like because it doesn't give off like they're trying to push sales but they do let you know what sales are happening and in my most recent vist was 40% off everything. I do love the quality of the clothing and if you shop right then you can really find aome good deals and put something together. I can't speak for the woman's side of shopping but I have taken a gander and seen some nice things. As for the men just go what what you like and color coordinate and you can definitely put something together. I remember I was having trouble getting a bunch of sets of clothes and a girl who was working there at the time helped me immensely because I was at a loss so it's really nice sometimes to get on that level of help that you don't normally experience. If you haven't been check it out! And if it's pricy they do in the back have a discount area and pay attention to when they got deals because you might find something really interesting. read more

Terrible service, my husband went on May 3 Friday night to buy a gift and was very poorly attended by a woman and a man!

Their black friday deal was the best out of all retail stores. Everything was 50% off and well worth it. Got $1800 worth of clothes for only $490 cause of their deal. Express always has some pretty nice and stylish items to add to your closet regardless of the time of the year. Most of my retail experiences is the past decade have been so so. Good service, attention, and well trained staff is pretty much a myth, but not at this Express location. I came twice over the past couple of weeks and the staff was extremely helpful. It was strange to walk in and have the attention of two employees trying very hard to help me find what I was looking for to suggest other items in a soft, non-annoying way. To add to that I was very fortunate to come at a good time and be able to use a coupon that gave me roughly 50% off of my purchase. I will definitely be coming back here regularly. No one helps at fitting rooms. Checkout always slow. No one welcomed me or told me about the sales. Clothes are expensive for this kind of experience. Not to mention the style they offer isn't even cute anymore. read more

I still love Express and will continue to shop here, but has anyone else noticed the quality of the fabrics kinda taking a turn for the worse? I've purchsaed a few things lately (never without a coupon, because it's way to expense for the quality as of late) but only a few washes later I find a hole in something. I normally purchase online (since I've got my sizes down pat) but come here if I need to exchange or return anything. (And that process has always been painless.) But definitely get the coupons, so if something does come apart in the wash, you've not spent your paycheck on it. read more

0 stars is not an option and neither is 2 thumbs down but this express was terrible. Absolutely no customer service and overall a bloody awful experience. Waited at a dirty unorganized kiosk with 9 computers and still it took over an hour on a Tuesday to be checked out with a single shirt. Will not return even if shirts were free. I welcome a self checkout option. With prices comparable to Jos A Bank and Mens Warehouse I'd recommend either because they offer alterations and a full staff waiting to help you. read more

I've never had a bad experience with Express. It has always been superb no matter which location; whether it be St. Johns town Center or the Avenues mall. What made it extra special today was upon my entrance there was a familiar voice that heard mine and it was Erika from the avenues mall now the manager here at the St. Johns town Center. I knew my experience would be fantastic. What is always a tell tale sign about a great establishment is when you find regular sales people who have been in their positions for years and still loving what they do. Dan is a new employee and it was a welcome change to see someone middle aged working at Express when everyone has always been younger millennials. Not a problem but definitely a welcome breath of fresh air. He started a fitting room, made pleasant conversation as he did his touch and go. Several others were attentive and gave the right amount of service. Erika assured her staff was moving and engaging with everyone from men's to women's area of the store and the fitting room experience was nice. As an Express Next cardholder, I receive text notifications of savings in store and online. Also their flash sales alerts by text are the best. I chose 4 Fall style pants this trip and the promotion was buy one get one 50% off. There was also a text coupon to save $100 off $250 purchase which I met the pretax threshold. I loved the way not only my name but other guest were used during their experience. A large store like this could get messy real quick but each salesperson controlled his/her zones to recover, resize and merchandise all while stopping when a customer entered their zone. It's important to mention that the staff really knew their customers are to come first to tasking while they balanced both. A solid 5 star visit. read more

I had great customer service the day after Christmas which we all know can be a hectic shopping day. The ladies of the fitting room were friendly and happy to grab a different size if needed. Express has a great selection of women's business casual wear and I just so happened to stroll in on a day where they were having a sale of 50 percent off the entire store. Been shopping at EXPRESS for 10+ year, their prices have gone up over the years and I think its a bit pricey now and will only buy stuff on sale. But not this time... I was on a hunt for black skinny dress pants... I went to so many stores before finding them here. They are leggings but in dress pants fabric. Don't remember the guy's name but he was great. i have been a long time express customer. I went to this store to do an exchange for the right size. I stood in this long long line and i was the next person to get checked out. i ended with a cashier who was not trained to do exchanges, so she tells me to see her manager (who was also checking people out) I went ahead towards the manager and stood in front of her and behind the customer she was finishing up cashing out. she looks at me with a dirty look, didn't bother to think or ask me how she can help, and then she calls for the next customer in line (who was also white). I was discriminated of getting decent service because i am not white. i then told her, "hello? i'm next in line?" then she tells me wait until she's finished with this customer. but hello???? i AM the next customer in line, why do i have to wait for this customer who came AFTER me? so i ended up having to wait for her to finish cashing out the customer who came in line AFTER me. and instead of doing my exchange, i did a full return. I have previous experience in being a retail manager. it all starts off with management that sets the stores vibe and atmosphere. express is willing to put rude and unprofessional individuals as managers. what does that tell you about the company?? PLEASE AVOID. This location doesn't even deserve 1 star. read more

Another one of my favorite stores. I love their dresses, jeans, Editor pants, and accessories. The only thing I don't like about Express is that their blazers don't fit my bust. I agree with the last one star. I worked here. The management staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional and snobby. I would get scolded (in front of anyone) for helping customers. that needed a little extra attention. They could care less about customer service. They don't train you and if you ask questions they scoff at you and talk down to you. They would constantly call me by a different name even when I corrected them. I've worked in customer service my whole life and never experienced anything like this. Unless you can't live without these clothes...shop or work at another location cause this one is run by sorority girls that have no respect for anyone but themselves. read more

I've been a employee for this company coming upon my second year. I can assure you the management is here is top of the line. Nobody is snobby here, we work in a happy atmosphere and try are best to assist everybody in the store. Mind you, there's only so many employees working, we can't get to everybody that walks in, but we sure do try. Customer service is our top priority! As for the employee that was not trained to do an exchange, during there hiring process they are shown how to do it once and then from there on out it's on-the-floor real-time training. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience! Generally in that scenario, the manager would come take over for that struggling employee. Once again, I'm sorry for your bad experience. read more
