There's SWITCH, a HITT/strength training circuit class. Then there's SCULPT, a Pilates like class that focuses a little more on strength. Lastly there's SPAR, a cardio class that switches between boxing and treadmills. All three classes are a challenging and rewarding workout despite being only 30 minutes. The instructors here really take the time to know you, help you, and motivate you. There is definitely a strong sense of community with the studio. The space is clean and aesthetic. They have bathrooms with showers that include both towels and soap. There are lockers everyone can use and lock to hold their stuff without any worry of theft. There is also a coffee bar that serves a variety of drinks, smoothies, and little snacks. I cannot recommend Noble method enough. I used to stay clear from group fitness classes but have learned to fall in love with them once I tried the two week trial here.

After checking in and then some stretches, I spent 30 minutes on the PF Express workout circuit. Not all Planet Fitness locations have the Thirty Minute Circuit so this was nice and pleasant. All the equipment worked, I had no problems at 10am on a weekday with most people at work. After, a quick shower and I was back on my way. I think they've fixed the showers noted in other reviews, it worked just fine. My only complaint? The shower curtains need to actually close all the way across the shower. Sometimes I think the staff to child ratio is a little crazy with the kids totally out numbering the caretakers, but my son comes out smiling and happy every time. This particular Y seems to be really busy more times than not. Sometimes you can't get on a treadmill or elliptical right away, which is frustrating. If you get there after 3, the weights area will be overrun with little high schoolers. I recommend going between 9 and 2

Super disappointed in the lack of understanding and compassion demonstrated by this organization…read morethat claims to promote social responsibility. Typically the YMCA is known to be a helping organization in the community. I did not get this experience. When I called in, the call center girl was nit friendly, did not demonstrate empathy or understanding for what I was explaining. I had started the conversation by asking for the director or a supervisor and the call rep refused. I called back and left a message for the executive director. I then got a call back from someone who was taking the messages for the executive director. The Y at The Heights was unwilling to help me, adding even more stress to my already overwhelming situation. I work full-time, I am a single parent to 3 children and a full-time caregiver to a parent with Alzheimers. Shame of you Y at the Heights. You are not a friend to the community or those who need understanding and compassion. I give this organization, that truly only cares about $$$, zero stars.

PRICE: extremely affordable at $9.99 per month and no contract (but they do auto-withdrawal it from your credit card). Keep in mind that there are multiple levels of membership and the cheapest one doesn't allow you to bring in a friend, but I think it would make financial sense to get a work out buddy and split the cost of the more expensive plans, which really aren't even expensive. The personal training is around $80/ month and is well worth the cost. STAFF: very friendly people who say hello and goodbye. They even hold the door open for you. The nice manager gave me a thorough tour and explained their pricing and perks very plainly. He wasn't a schemer and wanted to help me, not steal my wallet. Jeremiah, a personal trainer, helped me to pick a plan and gave me a good initial workout. Rich is another wonderful trainer and he has decades of experience and it shows! He holds educational seminars about working out and he has certifications and some higher education. Most of all he's super experienced, kind, funny, inspirational and encouraging. ENVIRONMENT: The air doesn't smell like a gym at all. I frequently see people cleaning and vacuuming. There are lots of machines, 2 cardio movie theaters, spinning class, yoga place and a large free-weight area. This isn't a Hollywood-level, mega expensive place, so it's not the most up-to-date place and the equipment isn't all new. A ritzy fella may even say it's run-down. I'm here to get in shape though, not critique them for an article in Good Housekeeping. I'm glad hey aren't wasting my money on re modeling the place because it's FINE how it is. The machines are rarely out of service and seem to be repaired fast. The locker room is clean and has showers and a sauna. I've never seen this place too crowded to work out and only rarely do I have to wait for anything to be open. They are open 24 hours/day Monday thru Fri and close earlier on weekends. I really wish they would truly operate a 24/7 schedule.
